At least three Russian disinformation actors have been working to denigrate the Harris-Walz campaign, Microsoft said. Some of the disinformation comes in the form of two videos that have been disseminated since late August, Microsoft said. Immediately after the video was posted on Sept. 2, social media users pointed out reasons to be wary. The caution was warranted, according to a new Microsoft threat intelligence report, which confirms the fabricated tale was disinformation from a Russia-linked troll farm. The report builds on previous concerns the U.S. has had about Russian interference in the upcoming election. Notably, some of the recent examples cited in the Microsoft report received significant social media engagement from unwitting Americans who shared the fake stories with outrage. "As the election approaches, people get more heated," Clint Watts, general manager of the Microsoft Threat Analysis Center said in an interview.

The median house price in the U.S. is now 5.8 times more than the median annual income of $80,000. That was, after all, the median price for a house in the area at the time. CNN —Shohei Ohtani made yet more baseball history on Sunday, becoming the first player in 130 years to record 85 extra-base hits (XBH) and 45 steals in a single season. In doing so, the two-time AL MVP joined Hugh Duffy as the only other player ever to accomplish the feat.
