Republican presidential nominee and former U.S. President Donald Trump speaks to the press at Trump Tower in New York City, U.S., September 26, 2024. REUTERS/David Dee DelgadoDonald Trump on Friday called for Google to be criminally prosecuted for what the Republican presidential nominee called the company's bias toward his election opponent Vice President Kamala Harris in online search results. Trump in a social media post wrote that if the Department of Justice does not prosecute Google "for this blatant interference of Elections" he would request its prosecution "when I win the election and become President of the United States!" He seemed to be reacting to a new study by the right-leaning Media Research Center, which purportedly found that Google search engine results tended to show news articles that supposedly were positive to the Democrat Harris ahead of Trump's own campaign website when a user searched for "Donald Trump presidential race 2024." In his post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: "It has been determined that Google has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump, some made up for this purpose while, at the same time, only revealing good stories about Comrade Kamala Harris."

An aide to the Hungarian PM was criticized after suggesting Hungary wouldn't have resisted a Russian invasion. He referred back to a 1956 uprising in Budapest, which the Soviet Union brutally repressed. He said it was "irresponsible" to resist, citing the number of dead in the Ukraine war. He said this was because Hungary had tried and failed to resist the Soviet Union in 1956. The conditions on the ground can vary widely across state and even county lines. The higher the index value, the higher the difficulty. A low index value, of 10 for example, suggests better purchasing conditions for a buyer — low interest rates, ample homes for sale. Chambers County, Texas, near Houston, is one of the 50 least difficult places to buy in in the country as of May, with low scores on scarcity, cost and competition. For July, the national Home Buyer Index was 85.3, nearly even with June and two points lower than it was this time one year ago.

He recalled how during the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah, there was a sense of hope because several countries were actively mediating. It was formed in 1982, after Israel invaded Lebanon, with the initial aim of ending Israel’s occupation of southern Lebanon, which it achieved in 2000. Hezbollah has fired rockets, missiles, and drones into northern Israel; and Israel has responded with increasingly heavy airstrikes. Israel has vowed to do whatever it takes to safely return its citizens to their homes in the north. Hezbollah has also said that it does not seek war but that it will continue striking Israel until there is a cease-fire in Gaza.
