COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The field of candidates onstage for the third Republican presidential debate will be the smallest yet. Five hopefuls will participate in Wednesday night’s debate at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, according to the Republican National Committee. After the second debate in September, Ramaswamy asked the RNC to change its rules for the third, requesting that participation be limited to four candidates, with a unique donor requirement of 100,000. The former two-term Arkansas governor participated in the first debate but failed to qualify for the second. He said in a statement after missing out on the second debate that his goal was to increase his polling numbers to 4% in an early state before Thanksgiving.

‘What Happens Later’ Review: Meg Ryan’s Rom-Com Return

David Duchovny and Meg Ryan Photo: Bleecker StreetMeg Ryan and David Duchovny haven’t had a lot of hit movies or TV shows lately—Ms. Ryan hasn’t been seen at all since she appeared in her directorial debut, the indie film “Ithaca,” back in 2016—but it only takes a few minutes of their movie “What Happens Later” to make us remember how much we loved these two ’90s icons in their prime. Trying to build a serviceable romcom around actors in their early 60s presents a challenge, but the key is understanding that nobody makes it to that age without handling as much baggage as an airport. That’s what makes Ms. Ryan’s second directorial effort a surprising treat, and for good measure, the entire movie is set at an airport, that liminal space between two destinations that stands for both possibility and frustration.

Eight years after her last Hollywood film, Ryan stars in "What Happens Later" as Willa, a woman who reunites with a former partner ("X-Files" star David Duchovny) when they are both snowed in at an airport. Ryan said she spent three years working to bring the project to the screen. CNN —Britain’s health agency is warning the public not to buy pre-filled pens claiming to contain the weight loss drugs Ozempic and Saxenda without a prescription, after a small number of people were hospitalized. Ozempic is used to treat adults with type 2 diabetes, and is used off-label for weight loss. More than 350 potentially fake Ozempic pens have been seized since January of this year, according to the MHRA. The agency has also received reports that patients have obtained fake Saxenda pens in the UK through “through non-legitimate routes.”No fake weight-loss pens were seized before January 2023, the agency says. The maker of both drugs, Novo Nordisk, told CNN Thursday that it is aware that counterfeit pens are being circulated.

But as early as age 5, Kissinger remembers her beloved mother disappearing for days at a time. By her 40s Kissinger has lost two siblings to suicide, and her alcoholic mother has survived several attempts. Silence was the vessel in which all of her family’s desperate ululations were contained. Every suicide begets a vacuum, family and friends left to fill it with stories, efforts to rationalize the unfathomable. Some, like Kissinger, try to move forward by ignoring the vacuum altogether, as though the very act of speaking it aloud could set off another bomb, one whose wick is drenched in secrecy and whose fuel burns with shame.

There’s no evidence fake Ozempic pens have been dispensed to patients from legal pharmacies and no indication any patients have been harmed, the EMA said in a statement. The fake pens were caught because they were packaged with real serial numbers that were flagged as inactive when the packs were scanned. “Check the patient information leaflet for Ozempic to see what the genuine Ozempic pens should look like,” the EMA said in its warning for patients. The fake pens were detected as Ozempic and similar medicines used for both diabetes and weight loss are in shortage in both the US and Europe. The war provoked by Hamas' attack on Israel has shaken American politics — and put the primary race in her wheelhouse. Iran has long supported Hamas, though U.S. officials say there's no conclusive evidence yet that Iranian agents were involved in the most recent attack. Ron DeSantis proposed state-level sanctions against Iran for its ongoing support of Hamas. Since before the war, Haley has gone after her rivals on issues such as U.S. support for Ukraine against Russia's invasion and how Washington deals with China. Another Republican presidential candidate has dropped out of the crowded 2024 field.
