CNN —An independent Appeal Board has reduced Everton FC’s sanction for breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs) from 10 points to six. It comes after the Merseyside club successfully appealed a November decision by an independent commission to deduct points for breaching financial rules. The successful appeal moved Everton, which has failed to register a win in their last five matches, up to 15th in the Premier League table. That was a reference to the Premier League charging Everton with a second PSR breach along with Nottingham Forest in January. CNN —Thomas Tuchel will relinquish his post as Bayern Munich head coach at the end of the season, the club announced on Wednesday. Tuchel, who was hired as head coach of the German powerhouse in March 2023, will leave a year earlier than his original contract end date of June 2025. LONDON — Ford was warned on Wednesday that more than 3,000 white-collar workers across the U.K. could launch industrial action after union members rejected a pay offer from the U.S. automotive giant. The union warned Ford that if it did not attend negotiations via Acas, the U.K.'s independent conciliation service, it would begin the process of balloting its members on potential strike action. Ford said it has been in pay negotiations with employee representatives since the end of last year, as its previous two-year deal ends. "Whilst trade union members have voted internally at a members vote to reject the company's offer, Ford remains willing to continue dialogue through our established bargaining frameworks on the fair and balanced offer made," the company said.

CNN —Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson will be part of the Liverpool FC Legends management team for a charity soccer match, the club announced in a statement on Tuesday. Eriksson, who publicly revealed his terminal cancer diagnosis last month, will be on the sidelines alongside Liverpool greats Ian Rush, John Barnes and John Aldridge against an Ajax Legends team. The annual LFC Foundation charity match will be held at Anfield on March 23. Following the news of Eriksson’s diagnosis, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp invited the Swede to Anfield after the former England boss said he would never be able to fulfil his dream of managing Liverpool following his terminal cancer diagnosis. According to Liverpool, all proceeds from next month’s charity match will support the work of the club’s foundation and its charity partners.
