The government on Monday released a slew of delayed economic indicators after the Party Congress concluded on Sunday. They looked upbeat at first glance: GDP expanded 3.9% in the third quarter, up from the previous quarter’s 0.4%. Instead, he filled it with his own protégés including Beijing Party Chief Cai Qi and Shanghai Party Chief Li Qiang.

Among the newly elected members of the Central Committee, the largest of the party's top decision-making bodies, was Xi Jinping, 69, who is widely expected to be named general secretary on Sunday, securing a precedent-breaking third term as its leader. Also on Sunday, the Central Committee will vote on its next Political Bureau, or Politburo, usually comprising 25 people, and its Politburo Standing Committee (PSC), the pinnacle of power in China, helmed by Xi. Totuși, fenomenul reîntregirii familiilor peste hotare din ultimii ani ar putea micșora volumul remitențelor per PIB. În aceste condiții, autoritățile Republicii Moldova trebuie să regândească și să consolideze relația diaspora-țară, creând mai multe oportunități pentru implicarea activă a cetățenilor aflați peste hotare în dezvoltarea durabilă a Republicii Moldova. Aceasta, în combinație cu fenomenul de emigrare a familiilor întregi și a peste 144 mii de dosare noi de redobândire a cetățenii românești, ar putea conduce la o scădere a remitențelor în următorii ani. Se observă că proporția remitențelor per PIB scade, în timp ce proporția diasporei în totalul populației crește. Pentru aceasta, am dezvoltat un model autoregresiv vectorial bazat pe (a) creșterea anuală a PIB-ului per capita; (b) consumul final al gospodăriilor per PIB, (c) investițiile străine direct per PIB, (d) balanța de plăți per PIB și (e) remitențe per PIB.

Astăzi se împlinesc 72 de ani de la al doilea val de deportări, cel mai mare, al celor mai buni basarabeni în înghețurile Siberiei. A fost o „operațiune” planificată din timp, scopul căreia a fost decapitarea acestei așchii de popor român din Basarabia. Astfel, soarta a peste 40000 de oameni, între care mai mult de 1/3 copii până la 17 ani, a fost pecetluită printr-o singură trăsătură de condei. În final, la 6 iulie 1949 a început al doilea val al deportărilor. Acesta a fost motivul de bază al acestei deportări.
