Influential Republicans vying to be Donald J. Trump’s vice-presidential running mate appeared at a conservative conference near Washington, auditioning for the spot at Mr. Trump’s side on the campaign trail with fire and flattery. Four people seen as contenders in the “Apprentice”-like spectacle made appearances on Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference, known as CPAC. Kristi Noem of South Dakota and Kari Lake, a Senate candidate in Arizona who rose to conservative prominence with a full-throated embrace of Mr. Trump’s stolen election lies. The conservative and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was scheduled to speak later in the evening. The contenders appeared to understand that they had an audience of one in Mr. Trump.

That first impeachment proceeding made her a “Republican star,” as Trump himself said at the time. When there was a nationwide baby formula shortage in 2022, Stefanik blamed the “White House, House Dems, & usual pedo grifters” on social media. Rasgon's new target was the equivalent of 48% upside from Wednesday's close, while the average price target according to FactSet implied more than 22% upside. Bank of America's Vivek Arya also lifted his Nvidia price target to $925 per share, equal to about 37% upside. JPMorgan analyst Harlan Sur boosted his price target to $850 to reflect strong data center growth and future product launches.

Ron DeSantis after the former GOP presidential candidate privately urged former President Donald Trump to not use "identity politics" when picking his running mate. "chicken fingers and pudding cups is what you will be remembered for you sad little man," Chris LaCivita, who co-manages Trump's campaign, wrote on X in response to a news article about DeSantis' comments. But I don't want people representing 10, 15% of the party being in the driver's seat," DeSantis told supporters on the call, according to audio NBC obtained. DeSantis may have also insulted Susie Wiles, a one-time ally who along with LaCivita leads Trump's campaign, during the call. According to NBC, the Florida governor blamed certain people in Trump's orbit for the former president's treatment of him.
