Jon Kendle wanted to work in sports so got a summer internship at the NFL Hall of Fame in 2005. Kendle is now the vice president of museum and archives for the Hall and met Tom Brady on the job. I was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I was able to run down to the archives and find Tom Brady's draft card and show it to him. The draft card is just a piece of paper with a name written on it, but it means so much more.
When the National Archives said in early February it had retrieved boxes of government records from Donald Trump’s home the month before, the former president had his lawyers ask for a favor: Get the agency to explicitly say that there had been no raid on his Florida estate, according to people familiar with the matter. The next day, the archives issued another statement saying it had “obtained the cooperation of Trump representatives” and that its officials “did not visit or ‘raid’ the Mar-a-Lago property.”
South Korea’s former President Moon Jae In said on Monday he plans to give up a pair of dogs sent by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as a gift following their 2018 summit, citing a lack of support from his successor. Moon has raised the white Pungsan dogs named “Gomi” and “Songgang” since their arrival in the South and took them to his personal residence after his term ended in May. But that effort fell apart due to “unexplained opposition” from the administration of incumbent President Yoon Suk Yeol, Moon’s office said. “The presidential office seems to be negative toward entrusting the management of the Pungsan dogs to former President Moon,” Moon’s office said on Facebook. The interior ministry, which oversees the presidential archives, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The dogs are legally categorised as state property belonging to the presidential archives, but Moon's office said he was entrusted as their caretaker under consultations with the archives and the interior ministry, an unprecedented decision. But that effort fell apart due to "unexplained opposition" from the administration of incumbent President Yoon Suk-yeol, Moon's office said. WASHINGTON — The Department of Justice has granted immunity to Trump adviser Kash Patel after a judge ruled that was the only way to compel his grand jury testimony in the Mar-a-Lago case, a source familiar with the matter told NBC News. Patel has said that former President Donald Trump declassified certain documents found at his Mar-a-Lago estate before leaving office. NBC News reported in February that the archives found classified material among the boxes of White House documents that Trump improperly took to Mar-a-Lago. Patel told Breitbart News in May that the documents had been declassified by Trump but their markings were not updated. "Trump declassified whole sets of materials in anticipation of leaving government that he thought the American public should have the right to read themselves," Patel said then.
Ron DeSantis. Bush, a former governor, said DeSantis would also be a "formidable" 2024 candidate. Jeb Bush praised the current governor on Thursday, calling Ron DeSantis a "formidable candidate" should his fellow Republican decide to run for president in 2024. "The reason why I'm a Ron DeSantis fan is that he has governed effectively in the state that I love," Bush said. "I think what he wants to say is that everybody does it, basically," Bush said of Trump's latest attack.

PREVIEWDelaware is now extending U.S. sanctions meant to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine to business ventures incorporated in the state. Blocked startups also can’t raise outside financing because they can’t amend their articles of incorporation in Delaware to issue new capital stock, according to several startup founders and their lawyers. Some startups have persuaded Delaware to restore their good standing after demonstrating that corporate officers no longer live in Russia. Blocked startups face other financial repercussions. It can’t proceed with expansion plans so long as it is blocked in Delaware, Mr. Zykov said.

George Conway during a CNN interview was highly critical of Trump's handling of classified documents. "Having top-secret FBI information in our home? Conway said individuals defending Trump and criticizing the FBI were "basically desperate." On CNN, Conway proceeded to lambast individuals who have backed Trump's claims regarding the FBI's search. He had no business bringing top-secret FBI material from the Situation Room or the Oval Office up to the residence.

As the historic festival once again returns to Worthy Farm, we look back at one of its most memorable fashion moments. Pete Doherty and Kate Moss are seen at the Glastonbury Music Festival 2005. In the winter of 2017, a young woman named Vida Movahed climbed atop a telecommunications box on a busy Tehran street, took off her headscarf and hung it on a stick to protest Iran’s mandatory hijab rules. At the time, it led me to the archives to study the first women’s protests in Iran after the revolution that toppled Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi . In February and March of 1979, the atmosphere in Iran was jubilant and hopeful. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini had just returned from exile, and a national referendum on the creation of an Islamic Republic was still months in the future. The interim government imposed new rules and regulations, but these seemed haphazard and malleable in that flickering moment of possibility when protest and debate could still alter the country’s trajectory.
