The sale closes a chapter for the digital media company that was valued at $5.7 billion in 2017. Vice Media filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 15, leaving current and laid-off staffers anxious over what's next. One advertising source told Insider, "The bankruptcy has killed the ad pipeline."
