Parris Goebel Is Changing the Way Women Move Her surreal, muscular dances for Rihanna, SZA and other pop stars have made her one of the world’s most in-demand choreographers. As the music gathered momentum, the camera raced through the crowd of scowling dancers until, finally, Rihanna appeared. The choreographer behind this viral performance, 32-year-old Parris Goebel, has established herself as one of the music industry’s most innovative and in-demand artists. There’s something cathartic about watching a group of (mostly) women snarling in lock step, an image of power and indomitability. Rihanna’s representative confirmed that Rihanna and Goebel were shooting something at the palace, though the project is still under wraps.

Jeremy Strong recently told the Los Angeles Times that “it’s absolutely valid” to criticize straight actors for playing gay characters, although he also strongly believes that it’s an actor’s job “to render something that is not necessarily your native habitat.” Strong stars as Donald Trump’s mentor Roy Cohn in “The Apprentice.”“Yes, it’s absolutely valid,” Strong said about the criticism. The debate over whether or not straight actors should play gay roles has been a consistent one in Hollywood over the last few years. “I felt a sense of uncertainty sometimes about whether I’m taking up someone’s space, and perhaps guilt. “An actor is an actor is an actor. Experts told BI that Israel still lacks a long-term strategic vision on how to end the war. But while Israel may have military superiority in the region, it lacks a clear, long-term strategic vision to end conflict in the Middle East, according to security experts. It's clear the Israel Defense Forces have achieved a series of tactical gains in recent weeks, but they still lack a clear military strategy, security analysts told Business Insider. "Neither outcome achieves Israel's security objectives, which would represent a defeat for the IDF and could threaten the survival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government," Pfaff said. The problem may be that Israel's security doctrine has long been based on short wars.

TOKYO — It may not receive the same scrutiny as Britain's royal family, but the Japanese government was nonetheless forced to admit Monday that it had doctored photos of its new cabinet following online mockery of their unkempt attire. Eagle-eyed social media users had spotted the editing over the untidy suits of the country’s top officials. The pictures, released by prime minister Shigeru Ishiba’s office on his X page and taken by local media last week, show his and defense minister Gen Nakatani’s white shirts visibly poking out from under their suits in different angles. But no shirt was visible in a frontal image later posted on Ishiba’s website, which caught the eye of some who blasted the cabinet's unkempt attire. “And therefore my understanding is that slight edits have been conducted in the past, not just for this photo you inquired about.”

WELLINGTON — A Royal New Zealand Navy vessel ran aground and sank off Samoa but all 75 crew and passengers on board were safe, the New Zealand Defense Force said in a statement on Sunday. Several vessels responded and assisted in rescuing the crew and passengers who had left the ship in lifeboats, Arndell said. The cause of the grounding was unknown and would need further investigation, New Zealand Defense Force said. The vessel later capsized and was below the surface by 9 a.m. local time, New Zealand Defense Force said. New Zealand’s Navy is already working at reduced capacity with three of its nine ships idle due to personnel shortages.

Acting Samoan Prime Minister Tuala Tevaga Iosefo Ponifasio said in a press statement Sunday that an oil spill was highly probable. “The HMNZS Manawanui is not recoverable and has sunk into the ocean,” he said. Numerous vessels and aircraft were sent to help, including a Royal New Zealand Air Force P-8A Poseidon and C-130J aircraft, the New Zealand navy said. Rescue teams responded to a call for help from New Zealand navy research ship HMNZS Manawanui. The HMNZS Manawanui was a relatively new addition to the New Zealand navy, having been purchased in 2018 for around $100 million NZD ($61 million), though it was built in the early 2000s.

The specific cruise ship you go on — and the room you're in — can determine what kind of time you have. Research your shipWhen you cruise, the ship is your hotel, your mode of transportation, your restaurants, and oftentimes, it provides professional entertainment, too. Your cruise ship isn't merely a way to get from point A to point B. If you can, avoid a noisy cabin right under the pool or on a deck right above or below the theater." Most cruise drink packages don't begin until you leave ports of call, so you can usually only get included drinks while you're sailing.

One option would be to take out Iran's nuclear sites — something Biden opposes. A hit on Iran's nuclear facilities could, however, create far graver consequences, potentially including a race by Iran to build a nuclear weapon. And Iran's nuclear sites present a formidable target, sprawling across various sites, with several of the most sensitive located in heavily fortified underground bunkers.

A logo dispute between Tiger Woods' apparel company Sun Day Red and Tigeraire, a company that makes cooling products for athletes, is now in the hands of the federal court system. Last week, Tigeraire filed a notice of opposition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office against Sun Day Red's Tiger logo, saying the golf legend's company "unlawfully hijacked" Tigeraire's design into its own branding. Lost biblical tree resurrected from 1,000 year-old seed

CNN —Botanists have grown a long-lost tree species from a 1,000-year-old seed found in a cave in the Judean Desert in the 1980s. But the scientists conducting the new research weren’t able to identify the type of tree from the seed alone. However, the sample didn’t match any of the known Commiphora species in her database. The tree, which the study authors believe may have a biblical connection, is seen at 12 years old. Yet the tree, which is related to the myrrh tree that’s famed for its resin, never gave off any kind of scent.
