CNN —New car prices are finally coming down.
Over the past few months, though, prices have fallen to only about $230 over MSRP, on average, according to Edmunds.
Land Rover models, on average, still sell for $4,500 over sticker price while Kia models sell for about $1,600 over sticker price.
For the past 17 months, though, according to Cox Automotive, vehicle inventory shortages have enabled car dealers to push prices above MSRP.
Used car prices are also starting to come down a bit, something that could prod new car shoppers back into the market, said Drury.
