As investors hunt for yield, many are turning to actively managed exchange-traded funds focused on bonds, like Pimco's Enhanced Short Maturity Active ETF . The fund, which has a 5.6% 30-day SEC yield, is a "a first-rate ultrashort ETF," Morningstar senior analyst Paul Olmsted wrote in August. Trading under the ticker symbol MINT, the ETF holds fixed income securities with durations of no more than one year. In fact, investors flooded into the fund in October, making it the actively managed bond ETF with the highest inflows last month, according to FactSet. Investors can capture that higher yield on the short end of the yield curve, Schneider said.

Amundi signed a 10-year distribution accord in 2017 when it bought UniCredit's Pioneer Investments for 3.6 billion euros. Credit Agricole CEO Philippe Brassac told reporters this month it was no secret UniCredit was looking at ways "to optimise" the accord with Amundi. Orcel, sources have said, is unhappy with the amount of Amundi funds the accord binds UniCredit to place with customers. UniCredit had 134 billion euros in AUM from fund and portfolio management as of Sept. 30. If their relationship ended after 2027, it would still take UniCredit time to replace Amundi funds with other products.

ChatGPT wouldn't be able to pass all levels of the exam required to get become a CFA. GPT-4 did better than ChatGPT and could pass the first two levels of the exam with enough prompting. According to a study, ChatGPT couldn't pass the chartered financial analyst exam—a benchmark qualification for many finance professionals across Wall Street. According to the CFA institute, only 38% of test-takers who took the level one exam in February 2023 passed. "GPT-4 would have a decent chance of passing the CFA Level I and Level II if prompted with [few shot] and/or [chain of thought scenarios]," the researchers wrote.

When the Veralto spinoff from Danaher was completed earlier this month, shareholders like us received one VLTO share for every three shares of DHR owned.
