The decision is the latest in a series of NLRB rulings finding that Starbucks has violated labor law in its efforts to stop unions from forming in its coffee shops. Last year, Starbucks announced that it would raise wages for non-union employees, and offer them other new benefits. Starbucks should also post a notice in its cafes telling workers that the NLRB found Starbucks had violated federal labor law, and detailing employee rights, she said. The Supreme Court decision overturning abortion rights may lead to still more maternal deaths, by further limiting access to reproductive care in the United States. The concern is particularly acute in states like Mississippi, which have among the highest rates of maternal deaths in the country and have enacted near total bans on abortion. But analysts say the drug price talks will likely have a muted financial impact on manufacturers, at least for this first round of prescription medicines. More broadly, some of the drugs on the list aren't significant contributors to their company's business in the first place. "The commercial impact of negotiations appears limited in the near term for this initial list of drugs," Mara Goldstein, managing director of Mizuho Securities, told CNBC. The list names drugs with the highest spending for Medicare Part D, which covers prescription medications, from June 2022 to May 2023. Several drugmakers, including a handful whose medications are on the list, have filed lawsuits in different federal courts seeking to stop the negotiations.

CNN —Archaeologists have uncovered a 1,500-year-old Teotihuacan village in Mexico City, complete with large concentrations of ceramics and three human burials, Mexico’s National Institute of History and Anthropology has announced. The bodies of one child and two adults were discovered alongside a series of polished bowls with a ring-shaped base in the Teotihuacan style. Using ceramic evidence, experts dated the village to around 450-650, around the same date as the height of Teotihuacan influence. Excavations revealed that the settlement sustained the production of ceramics. Due to the presence of such artifacts, archaeologists believe that the rural village must have had trade links with other Teotihuacan settlements on the shore of Lake Texcoco.

The protest in London’s bustling Chinatown brought together a variety of activist groups to oppose a rise in anti-Asian hate crimes.
