One area shows smooth grooves in the rock thought to be where Indigenous inhabitants once sharpened their arrows and spears long before Europeans arrived. In case you haven’t followed the actors’ strike, the AMPTP and SAG-AFTRA are negotiating revenue sharing and policies around use of artificial intelligence (AI), among other items. I’m fortunate to have enough success acting full time that I’ve been able to pay my bills and acquire health insurance. CNN —A new analysis of ancient genomes is deepening scientists’ understanding of the Neanderthal DNA carried by human populations in Europe and Asia — genetic traces that may have medical relevance today. The researchers found that, over time, the distribution of Neanderthal DNA didn’t always look as it does now. This resulted in a lower proportion of Neanderthal DNA observed in European genomes during this period. “The thing was that they had less Neanderthal ancestry so they diluted the (Neanderthal ancestry) in European populations,” Currat said. For example, Neanderthal DNA may play a small role in swaying the course of Covid-19 infection, according to a September 2020 study.

TikTok is working with Entrupy, a maker of product-authentication technology, to offer handbag-authentication services on its new e-commerce platform, TikTok Shop , Entrupy announced Wednesday. The partnership reflects a growing effort to build trust in TikTok Shop as the social-media company looks to establish itself as a shopping destination. It expanded to TikTok Shop in response to a growing demand for its services on the platform. TikTok and Entrupy have worked together since TikTok Shop launched in beta earlier this year.
