CBS 8 San Diego aired a closer view of the Goodyear blimp at the time, acknowledging that residents confused the blimp for a UFO (here). In 2018, an alleged UFO sighting turned out to be a Goodyear blimp covering a NASCAR race, according to news reports at the time (here) and (here). The object in the video is a Goodyear blimp in New Jersey in 2020, not a recent UFO sighting.

Roughly 50 cars of a 150-car Norfolk Southern train derailed on Feb. 3, causing a chemical fire, and officials had to later drain vinyl chloride—a colorless gas that can burn easily and is used to make hard plastic resin—from five tanker cars to prevent an explosion. Federal transportation officials continue to investigate the cause of the accident in East Palestine. The town, roughly midway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, has about 4,700 residents.

A Norfolk Southern Corp. train appears to have been on fire miles before it derailed in eastern Ohio, putting scrutiny on the safety detectors along tracks that are supposed to alert crews to such hazards. A manufacturer in Salem, Ohio, posted a clip Friday on its Facebook page of video from a surveillance camera, which showed a fire under one of the cars being pulled by the Norfolk locomotive as it passed its facility. The video surveillance footage was earlier reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
