President-elect Donald Trump should keep the U.S. involved in global efforts to address climate change, Exxon Mobil CEO Darren Woods said Tuesday. Climate Change Conference and "continue to have the U.S. influence policy around the world," Woods told CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Tuesday. Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement in 2017 and is expected to do so again in his second term. "I'm not sure how 'drill, baby, drill' translates into policy," Woods told CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Nov. 1, referencing one of Trump's campaign slogans. Exxon's production levels are based on how much money the company can return to shareholders, not which political party is on office, he said.

Last week, KFC accused Church’s Texas Chicken of violating its trademark rights when its fried chicken competitor began using the words “Original Recipe” in its advertising and promotions. KFC claimed in a lawsuit that beginning September 30, it noticed Church’s “abruptly” began using the phrase and ignored KFC’s October 24 letter objecting to the ads. In the disputed promotions, Church’s posted photos of its fried chicken deals with text above reading: “our original recipe is back.”The phrase, which KFC has been using for over half a century, “is likely to create confusion in the marketplace and dilute the ORIGINAL RECIPE® Mark,” the lawsuit, which was filed in US District Court in Texas, said. But when it comes to fried chicken, KFC also has to compete with Church’s Texas Chicken, Popeyes, Raising Cane’s, Zaxby’s and more. KFC’s “Original Recipe” trademark, which it says is a secret blend of 11 herbs and spices, has long been part of the company’s branding.

A former body guard for Sean Combs has filed a defamation lawsuit against a woman who in September accused him of physically and sexually assaulting her in 2001. Joseph Sherman called the allegations in Thalia Graves’ lawsuit “utterly and entirely false,” in documents filed Thursday in federal court in Manhattan. She said Sherman had lifted her up from a couch, slammed her down on a table and Combs then raped her, according to her court filing. Sherman also slapped her multiple times and forced her to perform oral sex on him, Graves’ lawsuit said. Ryan Borgwardt — a married father of two — went missing on Aug. 12 and his last known location was Green Lake, Green Lake County Sheriff Mark Podoll said during a news briefing Friday. Deputies found a capsized kayak in the lake and Borgwardt's vehicle and trailer parked in Dodge Memorial County Park, Podoll said. Courtesy Green Lake County Sheriff's OfficePodol said the investigation took a turn when it was discovered that Borgwardt’s passport was “run” on Aug. 13., the day after he disappeared. "Due to these discoveries of the new evidence, we were sure that Ryan was not in our lake," Podoll said. Podoll said the investigation into Borgwardt's disappearance still has a lot of missing pieces, including a motive, and where he is right now.
