Trump, wearing a navy suit, blue tie and an American flag pin, took the witness stand under oath in a Manhattan courtroom to face questioning from the New York attorney general’s office, which alleges he and his business engaged in a lengthy scheme to inflate the value of their assets for financial gain.
The former president alternated between calmly responding to questions about his finances and drawing the repeated ire of the presiding judge, who reminded him the proceeding “is not a political rally.”
