Cruise travel insurance can help cover emergency costs as well, which is why I have an annual travel insurance policy. For Caribbean cruises in particular, this part is easy since almost all spots in and around cruise ports accept US dollars. Drinks (if you drink a lot)I drink a lot on cruises, and I'm not just talking about cocktails and beer. This is why I always have a drink package when I cruise, which is easy since I normally cruise with MSC Cruises. On my next Caribbean cruise, we've booked a resort day pass at an all-inclusive resort in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic through a platform called Resort for a Day.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Thursday he had invited the heads of Canada's five largest grocery chains, including Sobeys (EMPa.TO), Metro (MRU.TO) and Loblaw (L.TO), to Ottawa next week to discuss how they planned to control sky-rocketing food prices. Trudeau's move comes when governments across the globe, especially in Europe, have expressed concern over soaring food prices as they seek to address a cost-of-living crisis that has intensified after the pandemic subsided and since the Russia-Ukraine war began. However, after a similar move from the French government in June, analysts were skeptical about Trudeau's warning. They argued it was a "political" tactic and might be ineffective in lowering lingering food inflation. "Both PM Justin Trudeau and François-Philippe Champagne (Canada's industry minister) spoke tough about this topic and it is difficult to envision what teeth they have to hold grocers accountable," said Ben Jang, portfolio manager at Nikola Wealth.

Flying over, they had a 90-minute layover in London, which should have been enough – British Airways recommends an hour between flights. Plenty of travelers these days are packing tracking devices into their bags, meaning that they can see where their “lost” bags are when airlines drop the ball. Each day, buying clothes and toiletries when needed, the family logged into British Airways’ lost luggage system to see where their bags were. Searching for her own lost bags in Florence airport, she had seen theirs and, after noting details on the tags, wanted Bunce to know they were there. The British Airways system still told them that the bags had not been traced, but now they had a lead.

July 11 (Reuters) - Amazon.com (AMZN.O) hopes to tempt U.S. shoppers on Tuesday to open inflation-thinned wallets by offering deeper discounts on a wide range of goods and services during this year's "Prime Day" 48-hour shopping event, including its first-ever travel discounts. A year of inflation has lifted mortgage rates, rents and food prices for consumers ahead of Prime Day, which falls on July 11-12 this year. Amazon Prime members can also save up to 40% on items such as Sherpani bags and ZOA Energy drinks, by checking out using "Buy with Prime," directly from Amazon's third-party merchants. Amazon plans yet another Prime sales event this year, according to screenshots of its seller notification platform seen by Reuters.

Navigating air travel at this time of year can be fraught, but it doesn’t have to be – and if anyone’s got intel on smoothly and successfully surviving summer travel, it’s the flight attendants who’ve seen it all. But the flight attendants say the lost sleep is worth it in the long run. Andrew adds that this advice is especially crucial if you’re flying internationally, suggesting that whatever you consider a “normal” connection time, you should probably double if you’re flying long haul. Consider whether check-in luggage is necessaryThe flight attendants always travel with carry-on luggage only and generally speaking encourage others to do the same. New York CNN —Hundreds of thousands of US airline customers were stranded this week as severe weather grounded planes and led to canceled flights. As of 8:30 am ET, FlightAware tracking service reported there were 687 flights canceled and another 1,200 delays. Although that’s better than the 2,200 canceled flights in each of the last two days, or the more than 16,000 delayed flights between Monday and Tuesday, it’s hardly a smooth-running operation. Staffing shortageThe US air travel system is unable to recover quickly from widespread weather problems, because it doesn’t have the bodies to deal with the disruptions. The airline canceled 461 flights this past Saturday and Sunday and delayed another 1,972 flights, according to data from flight tracking site FlightAware.

The Africans fighting on Russia’s front line in Ukraine

In journeying to Russia, Tarimo was following the route of many young Africans, including future heads of state, since the 1960s. Tarimo also ended up treading the path of a handful of other Africans who took up arms for Wagner in Ukraine. The presidents of South Africa and Zambia are now among a group of African leaders seeking to mediate between Russia and Ukraine. In November last year, his family learned he too had died in Ukraine fighting for Wagner. He said that, like Tarimo, Nyirenda cast his desire to join Wagner as repayment for Soviet and Russian support of African anti-colonial movements.

In doubling its warehouse footprint in recent years, Amazon can now ship items within regions of the US faster. According to Madan, Amazon data shows the faster items are delivered, the more likely a customer will become a return shopper. "This isn't something we could have easily done in 2019 because we had a much more sparse network," Madan told the Journal. The company also said the distance items travel between fulfillment centers and customers has decreased by about 15%.
