Three Democratic senators are asking McDonald’s about its menu price hikes in recent years, arguing that the increases are higher than they should be — even with inflation and rising operating costs. U.S. officials are investigating the apparent leak of two top-secret U.S. documents that show American spy agencies tracking possible Israeli preparations for conducting an attack on Iran, three U.S. officials said. Two U.S. officials said that the leaked documents appear to be authentic. U.S. intelligence agencies declined to comment on the documents, which were posted on the social media app Telegram on Friday. “We have not observed indications that Israel intends to use a nuclear weapon.”The apparent leak of two documents comes after Massachusetts Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira pleaded guilty in March to posting a trove of top-secret documents on the social media app Discord. That leak was seen as a deeply damaging lapse in security and resulted in calls for the intelligence community to do far more to prevent leaks.

To assemble our database, we looked at all 1.7 million car listings on cargurus.com from August 2 to December 16, 2023. To weed out anomalies, we considered only counties with at least 400 car listings, and only car models that appeared at least 400 times nationally. (In calculating political popularity, we included models that appeared at least 250 times nationally.) Cars were included in a county's listings if they appeared in a ZIP code associated with that county. We then placed car models in those counties on a political spectrum of reddest (-1) to bluest (+1).

In three U.S. states, you'd need to spend six figures a year to live comfortably in retirement — far more than in most others, according to a recent GOBankingRates analysis. In contrast, retirees in West Virginia need just $58,190 a year — the lowest of any state. Over a 30-year retirement, the difference in savings needed between Hawaii and West Virginia would be over $1.25 million. A 20% cash buffer was added to this total to ensure retirees could live "comfortably," according to the study. Here's a breakdown of the three states where living comfortably will cost more than six figures, per GOBankingRates' calculations:
