“Four more wins!”After a 4-2 victory on Monday over the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the World Series, the Dodgers are on the doorstep of a championship, one far different than the title marred by COVID-19 restrictions in 2020. The first World Series game at Yankee Stadium since 2009 ended as the last two did in Chavez Ravine, with the Dodgers exultant and the Yankees lamenting missed chances. No team in World Series history has overcome a 3-0 deficit. “Hopefully we can go be this amazing story and shock the world,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “If he is able to play, willing to play, he’s going to play,” Roberts said on Sunday afternoon.

Robinhood is the latest platform to allow traders to wager on the 2024 election. A recent federal court ruling opened the door to wider betting on US elections. For now, only the 2024 election contracts will be available. Until a September federal court ruling, betting on US elections was largely limited to a narrow set of academics and students. Initial figures suggest turnout is the highest since the ruling Georgian Dream party was first elected in 2012. Georgia’s Central Election Commission said Georgian Dream won 52.99% with the majority of votes counted. Georgian Dream stood against four main opposition groups, which indicated they did not accept the results. The biggest opposition party, United National Movement, said its headquarters came under attack on polling day. Many Georgians fear Georgian Dream is dragging the country toward authoritarianism and killing off hopes it could join the EU.

And for the first time since 2020, more farmers expect farmland values to go down rather than up. James Mintert, director of Purdue University's Center for Commercial Agriculture, expects land values to likely flatten in the short term. She added: "Let's be clear that the Trump administration resulted in a trade deficit, one of the highest we've ever seen in the history of America." Now, young men have emerged as a voting bloc that could potentially swing an election expected to see a razor-thin margin of victory for the candidate who wins. The trend has been especially pronounced among young men of color. Adding to the complexity is that younger men have actually experienced solid economic gains, at least on paper, during the Biden administration. Yet, some young men continue to express concerns about making ends meet, and say they consider current immigration policies to be an obstacle to their upward mobility. In the University of Chicago GenForward poll, young men named “economic growth” as their No.1 issue, with inflation not far behind.
