The rookie left the first quarter of Washington’s game against Carolina with what the Commanders called a rib injury that left him questionable to return. Daniels was visibly frustrated, taking off his helmet and throwing it to the turf. Daniels, off to one of the best statistical starts to a career by a quarterback in NFL history, had enjoyed another sensational start prior to the injury, rushing for 46 yards on the Commanders’ first play from scrimmage. 2 pick in last year's NFL Draft, Daniels has thrown for 1,404 yards and six touchdowns with only two interceptions.

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested Thursday following a minor crash in downtown Franklin, Tennessee, according to the Franklin Police Department. That changed in 2023, when Texas went 12-2 in coach Steve Sarkisian’s third season and appeared in the College Football Playoff for the first time. Like Texas, Georgia spent much of the last 30 years boasting a past national championship and a campus in a recruiting-rich part of the country, with little modern success to show for it. The quarterback of the Bulldogs’ back-to-back championship teams was not a former high-star recruit but he did grow up in Georgia. In the decade before Sarkisian’s hiring, Texas recruiting classes finished with an average rank of 10.8 in the country; in three recruiting classes under Sarkisian, Texas has averaged a ranking of 4.6. In the eyes of Texas fans, the Longhorns won’t qualify as fully back until they win the program’s first football national championship since 2006.

CNN —Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has said that he has no concerns with kicker Harrison Butker forming a political action committee (PAC) based on Christian values. Butker announced the formation of UPRIGHT PAC during the Chiefs’ bye week last weekend, which, according to its website, intends to “reclaim the traditional values that have made this country great” and “mobilize Christians across this country to make sure we protect these values” at the upcoming election. The UPRIGHT PAC website, which Butker promoted on social media, features prominent photos of the 29-year-old and an appeal for donations. The Bills received Cooper and a 2025 sixth-round draft pick with a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick heading to Cleveland in exchange. The 30-year-old is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and has 9,736 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns in his career.
