CNN —Tupac Shakur may be on the path to winning a Grammy Award posthumously. Shakur received the nod for the FX five-part docuseries “Dear Mama,” which takes its name from his 1995 single of the same title. Shakur is competing against two other late artists - David Bowie for “Moonage Daydream” and Little Richard for “I Am Everything” (which premiered on CNN.) Bowie died following a battle with cancer in 2016, and Little Richard died in 2020, also of cancer related causes. Little Richard was famously vocal when he was alive about never having received a Grammy.

Nov 10 (Reuters) - Versatile recording artist SZA led this year's Grammy Award nominations with nine, coming in ahead of industry heavyweights Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish, in a year made for women artists and the movie blockbuster "Barbie." Victoria Monét followed closely behind SZA with seven nominations including best new artist and record of the year and best R&B song for "On My Mama." Rodrigo took six nominations, with her hit "vampire" getting nominated for record of the year, song of the year and best pop solo performance. CNN —This week in travel news: An ancient Italian site, a hefty European tourist tax and a bunch of bears in Alaska all got bigger. According to Indian authorities in charge of the monument, roughly 1 million people visit Hawa Mahal each year. ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — When it comes to packing on the pounds to survive an Alaska winter, this year’s undisputed champ is Grazer. Grazer, also known as Bear 128 to the fans of Fat Bear Week at Alaska’s Katmai National Park and Preserve, won this year’s contest, handily defeating Chunk 108,321 to 23,134 in the finals. They then vote in tournament style brackets over the course of a week, advancing bears to the next round until a champion is crowned. A true mama bear, she’s known to attack larger bears, even adult males, to ensure her cubs are safe.

CNN —Voting is over in Katmai National Park & Preserve’s annual Fat Bear Week contest, in which the public picks from 12 big ‘n’ bulky bears in an online brackets-style tournament. Grazer was first identified as one the bears dining in Katmai’s Brooks River in 2005 as young cub. The runner-up32 Chunk shows off his fat form on September 17, 2023. Even Bear 747 – the 2022 Fat Bear Week champ – yielded fishing spots and salmon to him. Meanwhile, Bear 747 was eliminated in his first round of play this year, showing again no bear can rest on his or her feasting laurels.
