STAMPING GROUND The exterior styling of the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid (seen here in Limited trim, $41,010, as tested) is dominated by spear-like creases in the sheet metal and swollen front and rear fenders. Photo: HyundaiIN THE PAST DECADE the Seoul-based Hyundai Group—including Kia, Hyundai and Genesis—has rolled out a lot of stylish and attractive cars. This is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited AWD, an otherwise sound and sensible compact crossover that looks like it lost a knife fight. What is happening with those exaggerated speed lines over the swept, swollen fenders? It’s as if someone stuck their head in the design studio and yelled, “Here comes the boss.

He missed it when it became a World Golf Championship for only Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup players. So what to make of this new PGA Tour model of signature events and $20 million purses with small fields and most of them not having cuts? "If all the players play in those and we get great fields playing for a lot of money, then it's great. And the PGA Tour has been about doing the best for everybody, for all the pros and members. “So I'm a little mixed on that.”That's what the PGA Tour is facing this year.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ten of the top albums of the year, as chosen by Associated Press Music Writer Maria Sherman. Instead of embracing the antiquated practice of ranking very different albums against one another, we're celebrating the best next to the best. Despite an overall slump in startup funding, 2023 saw a scramble among investors to pour money into AI and machine learning startups. And the company's star still appears to be rising, despite a messy leadership struggle that recently spilled into public view. Meanwhile OpenAI's perennial rival Anthropic attracted multi-billion dollar investments from both Google and Amazon to fund a competing AI model known as Claude. At the same time legacy companies from John Deere to accounting firm PwC played up their AI bona fides to capitalize on the hype. Tiger Woods sounded more optimistic about playing golf next year than he did about the PGA Tour finalizing a deal with Saudi Arabia or private investors by the end of the year.
