The fire started on Sunday afternoon in Varnava, a town less than 30 miles north of Athens by road, and spread rapidly within minutes because of high winds, Greece’s national fire service said. At least one person was killed and two were injured after a house in Maryland exploded Sunday morning, according to the Harford County Fire and EMS Association. Video and pictures from the scene show that the house was completely destroyed and left piles of debris in the surrounding area. There were around 60 personnel from multiple fire and emergency service agencies on scene to assist with the explosion, Sexton said. I sent them an email about the possibility of work, and we left within a week and a half. Most of these people still had family members that were just captured by ISIS, and who were very traumatized. Home life in warMy wife is very connected to the work and its mission. And we'd come back to a big house where we take showers, there's a functioning family and hot food. The kids do miss out on having a steady community, but their community is always there when they get back.

Cool temperatures are expected to calm fire behavior, which will help the 154 firefighters in Jasper fight the blaze, Jasper National Park said on Facebook Friday night. Two wildfires converged in the Jasper National Park area, becoming what authorities are referring to as the Jasper Wildfire Complex. Together, the fires have swallowed an estimated 89,000 acres, the Jasper National Park said. An evacuation order remains in effect for Jasper and Jasper National Park, with the vast majority of evacuees being visitors, officials said. Along with about 5,000 residents who live in the town, 2.48 million people visited Jasper National Park last year.
