In today's big story, the stock market has officially enjoyed a bull rally for over two years. The big storyBullish on the bull marketNoam Galai/Getty ImagesHappy belated birthday to the stock market's bull rally! Stock market experts who spoke with Business Insider's Matthew Fox don't see things slowing down anytime soon . In fact, the average bull market lasts longer than five years, so we might not even be halfway to the finish line. The actual stock market is healthier, too, as it's no longer reliant on the Magnificent Seven's performance.

.SPX mountain 2022-10-12 The S & P 500 has gained more than 60% during this bull market. However, prior bull markets have shown a tendency to lose a little steam in their third year. Bank of America research showed that 10 prior bull markets for the S & P 500 had an average return of -2% in months 25 to 36. Another thing to keep in mind is that even positive third years for bull markets tend to be bumpy. Of course, a slump for the S & P 500 could be an opportunity for small-cap stocks to catch up .

New York CNN —Former President Donald Trump’s social media company is on fire on Wall Street. Up until very recently, Trump Media & Technology Group had been in meltdown mode. Its share price dropped to a record low of $12.15 on September 23, marking a stunning 82% crash from its high. Trump Media did not announce a sudden revenue stream or a flashy new product that could explain the move. “At today’s stock price of about $25, the stock is overvalued by 1,000% or so,” Ritter said, “suggesting a 90% drop will eventually occur.”

European flags flutter in front of the European Central Bank (ECB) building prior to a news conference following the meeting of the governing council of the ECB in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, on September 12, 2024. Daniel Roland | Afp | Getty ImagesThe European Central Bank is on course to deliver its third interest rate cut of the year at its meeting this Thursday, as policymakers say inflation risks are easing faster than previously expected. Headline price rises in the euro area cooled to 1.8% in September, below the central bank's 2% target. Bank of France Governor Francois Villeroy de Galhau last week described an October rate cut as "very likely" and said such a step "won't be the last." This led him to forecast ECB rate cuts will take place both this week and at each of the central bank's forthcoming meetings, until the deposit rate hits 2.5%.
