A winter storm in the United States mirrors the path and hazards of a massive storm that slammed much of the country the previous week.
The storm, which smacked the central and eastern US Friday, continued Saturday with heavy rain, snow and dangerous coastal flooding in New England; blizzard conditions in the Midwest; and snow in the Great Lakes, including the Buffalo area.
Some areas of the South are still trying to recover from the last storm, which generated 25 tornado reports across Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
In the central part of the country, the storm unleashed perilous blizzard conditions, shutting down several highways and stranding drivers in frigid temperatures.
