Brewer, 60, is chasing a new first of sorts in her role at Walgreens: turning the $33 billion pharmacy chain into a destination healthcare company. After stepping into power at America's second-largest pharmacy during the deadliest disease event in US history, Brewer has been pursuing a wide-ranging strategy to remake the company. The company's larger rival, CVS Health, is following a similar strategy of making healthcare a bigger part of its business. That appears to be the hope behind the company's surprise decision to bring back former chief executive Bob Iger to replace Bob Chapek. During his first tenure from 2005 to 2020, Disney's annualised shareholder returns were more than 14%, well above its rival Comcast Corp (CMCSA.O) and the broader stock market, and in total in that period the stock rose more than 400%. Oct 25 (Reuters) - Xerox Holdings Inc's (XRX.O) shares plunged about 25% to 13-year lows on Tuesday after the photocopy maker slashed its annual revenue and cash flow forecasts, blaming a stronger dollar and a slower-than-expected recovery in global supply chains. Xerox on Tuesday lowered its 2022 revenue forecast to between $7 billion and $7.1 billion, compared to its previous forecast of at least $7.1 billion, reflecting a weaker euro and British pound. The company, whose largest shareholder is activist investor Carl Icahn, cut its annual free cash flow (FCF) forecast to at least $125 million from about $400 million. The reduction is partly due to persistently high inflation and slower-than-expected supply chain improvements, Xerox said. Third-quarter revenue of $1.75 billion fell short of analysts' estimate of $1.77 billion, according to Refinitiv data.

Am făcut lucrul acesta şi ceva mai devreme, având atunci îndrăzneala de a presupune o revenire la normalitate în doar câteva luni. Iată însă că scenariul a fost altul decât cel intuit de noi şi că, la capăt de an ne vedem siliţi să revenim la izolare, la nopţi cu străzi pustii, la frontiere blocate. În primul rând, pentru că prima jumătate a anului pare să fie trasă la xerox şi în a doua jumătate a anului, doar că aceste ultime şase luni sunt cele în care se văd şi efectele secetei prin care au trecut câmpurile Moldovei. Astfel, în al doilea trimestru, scăderea din sectorul HoReCa a fost de 66,2%, activităţile de spectacole, recreere, agrement s-au contractat cu 45,8%, în timp ce scăderea din sectorul transportului de pasageri este de peste 50%. Evoluţia lucrurilor în primul semestru transferă către cea de-a doua jumătate a anului o stare confuză de nesiguranţă, iar aceasta pare să se prelingă şi peste calendarul anului următor.
