A study released Thursday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found 6.4% of adults living alone had feelings of depression in 2021, compared with 4.1% of adults living with others. Among Hispanic adults living alone, 7.3% reported feelings of depression compared with 3.2% from that group who lived with others. While a higher percentage of adults living alone reported feelings of depression compared to those living with others across all household income levels, a higher proportion was found among poorer adults.
