Atlanta police on Tuesday continued to search for two robbers captured on video dropping into a check cashing store from the ceiling and grabbing stacks of cash from a safe. The images appear to be taken from the security video. The department also released some of that morning's video, captured from inside the store as its ceiling was breached and including the robbers' exit. A robber falls through the ceiling of a check cashing business in southwest Atlanta on Sept. 3. They fled out the rear portal, and video captured a woman walking by just after the door was opened.

Police in Michigan are investigating after a car hit and killed a toddler who appeared to have left her home after being put to bed on Friday. According to a statement from the Michigan State Police, a 2-year-old girl “got out of her bed and walked out of the house” while her parents were working around the family’s home in Allen Township, a small community about an hour southeast of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Police were called at 8:20 p.m. about a “car versus pedestrian crash” and found the young child in the road. An autopsy will be performed on the child, Jackson Post Troopers said in the release, and the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information about the incident, they’re asked to contact Michigan State Police Jackson Post at 517-780-4580.

The Republican mayor of an Ohio city that has been the target of unfounded claims from former President Donald Trump and his running mate about Haitian immigrants eating residents’ pets said Tuesday that a visit from the Republican presidential nominee would strain the city's resources. “It would be an extreme strain on our resources. So it’d be fine with me if they decided not to make that visit,” Springfield Mayor Rob Rue said during a news conference at City Hall on Tuesday. DeWine said that a campaign visit from a presidential candidate is “generally very, very welcomed,” but acknowledged that it would pose challenges. DeWine said he hasn’t spoken to Trump or Vance and hasn’t heard about the candidates potentially visiting Springfield.

A Florida sheriff released the mugshot and video of an 11-year-old child charged with a felony of making the written threat of a mass shooting. "Since parents, you don't want to raise your kids, I'm gonna start raising them," Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said at a news conference Friday. An 8-year-old Ohio girl is home safe after she took her mother’s car and drove to Target 25 minutes away as her family and police searched for her. They reported that the 8-year-old was last seen by the family nearly two hours earlier. The Bainbridge Target is just over 11 miles southwest of the child’s home, according to the police report. Officers found the girl inside of the Target and her family came to pick her and the car up. “Not sure what she bought or if she was even able to use her Target app to save 5%,” Bedford Police Dept.

At least 33 bomb threats have been made in Springfield, Ohio, since false claims — which were pushed by former President Donald Trump and his running mate — surfaced about Haitian migrants eating people’s pets, the governor said. “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs.
