Journal Editorial Report: Competitors emerge, and the age issue persists. Images: Shutterstock/Zuma Press Composite: Mark KellyFour more years. Have 48 months ever loomed as a more unnerving slog through domestic political strife and rising global insecurity? It should be a moment for hope for at least half the country. This time around four more years sounds like a parole board’s answer to a prisoner’s appeal.

BLESS THIS MESS A defeated Cher (Alicia Silverstone) tries to find a DMV-worthy outfit in 1995’s ‘Clueless.’“I HAVE nothing to wear.” It’s a common refrain heard in bedrooms nationwide. Who among us hasn’t peered into an overstuffed closet, sighed in disgust and struggled to find something—anything!—suitable? Even Cher Horowitz, Alicia Silverstone’s style-savvy character in the era-defining 1995 film “Clueless,” had an angst-addled relationship with her abundant wardrobe. Watch the scene depicted above, in which she seeks to assemble a “responsible-looking” outfit for her driver’s test. Our advice: Spend a few hundred to hire a wardrobe stylist for an hour or two and rediscover what you already have.
Tesla employees shared videos captured by owners' cars on an internal messaging system, Reuters reported. From 2019 to 2022, some Tesla workers circulated humorous, shocking, or invasive videos on a company messaging system, nine former employees told the outlet. Employees shared videos of car crashes, road-rage incidents, and some more embarrassing moments. Other former employees told Reuters they only saw images shared for legitimate work purposes, like identifying correct labels. Camera recordings are only shared with Tesla if owners opt to do so, the company says.

[1/2] Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and U.S. President Joe Biden shake hands before a meeting, amid Russia's attack on Ukraine, in Kyiv, Ukraine February 20, 2023. Biden also said additional sanctions would be announced this week against the Russian elite and companies trying to evade sanctions to "back the Russian war machine". Sacrifices have been far too great," Biden told reporters in Kyiv, where he held talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Visiting Kyiv for the first time since the start of Russia's war on Ukraine, Biden said Washington would stand with Ukraine as long as it takes. The United States has been by far the largest supplier of military assistance to help Ukraine repel better-equipped Russian invaders.
I've gotten behind the wheel of 22 different electric vehicles. I've enjoyed most of them, but I'd steer clear of three EVs if I was in the market for one. The GMC Hummer EV, Nissan Leaf, and ElectraMeccanica Solo have their pros, but they don't fit my personal needs. While my experiences have overall been positive, three vehicles stand out as ones I'd steer clear of. 2023 Nissan Leaf.
[1/3] People search for survivors at the intensive care unit of the Iskenderun collapsed state hospital following an earthquake in Iskenderun, district of Hatay, Turkey, February 7, 2023. REUTERS/Benoit TessierISKENDERUN, Turkey, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Rescue teams and survivors peered through the twisted remains of an Iskenderun hospital on Tuesday, searching for signs of life a day after a major earthquake struck Turkey and neighbouring Syria. There was little amongst the debris to suggest the building was a busy medical facility less than two days before. "A doctor said there are about 15 people here, including the patients," taxi driver Kerim Sahin said as he looked for a colleague in one part of the hospital. Turkish authorities say more than 12,000 search and rescue personnel are working in the affected areas, plus another 9,000 troops.
The National Weather Service confirmed that tornadoes hit the ground in Mississippi on Tuesday evening and Alabama was in the forecast path of the storms during the overnight hours. The national Storm Prediction Center said in its storm outlook that affected cities could include New Orleans; Memphis and Nashville in Tennessee; and Birmingham, Alabama. Additional reports of property damage near Columbus were received by the Weather Service, according to Lance Perrilloux, a forecaster with the agency. Craig Ceecee, a meteorologist at Mississippi State University, peered out at “incredibly black” skies through the door of a tornado shelter in Starkville. The National Weather Service reported nearly 4 inches of snow on the ground at the airport by noon.
“Wonderful things,” Carter responded, which seems a rather restrained reaction: What he’d found was the tomb of King Tutankhamun, one of a handful of the most significant and bountiful discoveries in the unearthing of the ancient world. In “Tutankhamun: Allies & Enemies,” a two-part exploration of its own, one prominent Egyptologist interviewed says that Carter’s find was all about “luck”—never mind the single-minded 15-year search he’d undertaken with Carnarvon’s money. But what becomes evident in this Egyptian production is that Egyptians are, perhaps rightfully, possessive of Tut, and that one of the wonderful things about the show is how few of the experts agree about much. Was Tut’s death the result of a fall, a plague, a pileup at a chariot race or plain old political murder? Everyone asked has an opinion, all of them supported by research, even DNA evidence.
Ken Miyamoto was a security guard at Sony, and worked his way up to story analyst for the studio. In 1996, I took one University of Wisconsin screenwriting class, and that was the extent of my screenwriting education. I moved to California from Wisconsin with my wife in late 1999 to pursue a career in screenwriting. The apartment was way overpriced and much smaller than others we looked at, but we signed the lease that day. Lastly, don't write for free.
CNN —Even before their daughter was born in June, Aaron and Helen Chavez knew she would need heart surgery. Data reported to the US government shows that as of Friday, more than three-quarters of pediatric hospital beds and 80% of intensive care beds for kids are full. Federal data shows that the strain on hospital beds for kids began in August and September, which is right around the start of the school year in many areas. It may also mean children who have chronic conditions and need procedures or hospital care, but whose conditions are stable, may have to wait. She was very thin for a baby,” Aaron said.
In a conversation with Insider, a Meta customer service agent working for third-party firm described what it's like to work with customers, from torrents of abuse to insomnia from the stress. Each day, she fields around 20 cases a day from organizations, businesses, celebrities, and creators who depend on Facebook and Instagram for their livelihoods. More than 200 Gopuff customer service workers were let go last week. On a podcast, Glenn Howerton said he was locked out of his Tesla when his key fob broke, and that he had a difficult time reaching customer service, saying that Tesla "lost a customer." New models suggest Saturn's gravity shredded a moon, Chrysalis, about 160 million years ago. The ancient moon could explain two long-standing mysteries: Saturn's iconic rings and dramatic tilt. Cassini captured five of Saturn's moons in a single frame, on July 29, 2011. Saturn's rings display their subtle colors in this view captured by NASA's Cassini spacecraft, on August 22, 2009. NASA/JPL-Caltech/Space Science InstitutePlanetary scientists have long suspected Saturn's tilt may have come from gravitational interactions with Neptune.
HAEAN, South Korea — Along the border with North Korea is a town where the sad legacy of war is perhaps best understood by looking at the crops in the field. Mr. Han arrived in this mountain basin on the eastern border with North Korea in 1956, when military trucks unloaded 160 families as new settlers of the war-torn territory. The families, mostly from Korean War refugee camps, were told by the government in the South that they would be allowed to keep the land if they cultivated it for 10 years. “We were landless peasants who lost everything during the war,” Mr. Han said. “We came here with a dream of owning our own land.”
