A protest in Accra, Ghana, demanding government action on illegal gold mining. Yaw Amoafo, who owns several small gold mines employing 20 to 30 people each, said public anger at galamsey mining has forced him to cease operations. Butterball made a “specially formulated” brine that keeps the meat moist during the roughly 5-hour long roasting process.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed the Biden administration at least in the short term to enforce its latest attempt to curb climate-harming carbon emissions from coal- and gas-fired power plants that contribute to climate change. The Supreme Court is often skeptical of major agency actions but it has bucked that reputation in recent weeks. Under the proposed rule, the EPA wants to require “carbon capture,” a technique that uses solvents to remove carbon dioxide from a power plant’s emissions. Walgreens said Tuesday it plans to close 1,200 stores over the next three years as it seeks to further downsize its footprint amid flagging sales and changing consumer behavior. Walgreens announced the closures as part of its fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year earnings, which beat Wall Street's expectations. In June, Walgreens said it planned to close a “significant” number of its underperforming stores by 2027. They co-founded Warby Parker, a pioneering direct-to-consumer brand that's sold millions of pairs of glasses, both online and in 269 brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S. and Canada. Warby Parker brought in nearly $670 million in revenue last year. "The need for glasses and contacts continues to grow and grow and grow," Blumenthal tells CNBC Make It.
