Two weeks after giving birth to her eighth child, Ms. Neeleman, 33, said she no longer needed to wear postpartum diapers. That was convenient, since she was about to take part in the swimsuit round of the Mrs. World beauty pageant, an annual competition for married women from around the globe. “A lot of us have kids, and I don’t think there’s any shame in showing I just had a baby,” Ms. Neeleman said. “Like, I’m not going to have a perfectly flat stomach.” The beauty team draped a blanket over the infant, Flora Jo. “She’s breathed in a lot of hair spray,” she joked, “but other than that she’s stayed safe.”

CNN —Novak Djokovic has never been afraid to do things differently, so his latest revelation should hardly come as much of a surprise. “There is one particular tree that I have been having a special relationship with for the last 15 years,” Djokovic told reporters earlier this week, when asked about a tree locals have seen him meditating by. “That particular tree, I cannot reveal which one, I’ll try to keep it discreet for myself when I’m there to have my own time. But his love for trees – well, one tree in particular – had somehow gone under the radar until now. Artist Abel Ortiz (L) gives US Attorney General Merrick Garland (R) a tour of murals of shooting victims on January 17, 2024 in Uvalde, Texas. The Justice Department is planning this week to release findings of an investigation into the 2022 school shooting in which 21 people were killed. Poor coordination, training and execution of active-shooter protocol contributed to a law enforcement response that can only be described as a "failure," the report said. The 600-page findings describe a chaotic scene that should have triggered a number of coordinated responses by law enforcement officers who first arrived at the school. Steven C. McCraw, Director and Colonel of the Texas Department of Public Safety, speaks during a press conference about the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School on May 27, 2022 in Uvalde, Texas.

He also confirmed it would not pursue any further prosecutions and that it is actively looking to replace the much-altered Horizon system in its branches. The Post Office maintained that Horizon was reliable and accused branch managers of dishonesty. The number of victims is not fully known, and it emerged Tuesday that hundreds more may have been financially affected by the faulty computer system. State-owned Motor Sich is Ukraine's main manufacturer of aircraft and helicopter engines, including for some of the world's largest cargo planes. Many legacy Ukrainian defense companies will trigger "red flags" during the lengthy due diligence and compliance reviews conducted by Western defense companies, said one U.S. defense executive. A Motor Sich representative stopped by ITA's booth and spoke briefly about their company's capabilities, the spokesperson said. ROOTING OUT CORRUPTIONZelenskiy has made rebuilding Ukraine's defense and aerospace sector a top priority, which includes deeper investment in drone technology. While the talks in Washington later this week and last month's Dubai air-show contacts are potentially promising, the political realities that Western defense officials are grappling with could hinder any progress.
