The Marine Corps ordered a two-day pause in flight operations Monday, citing three “Class-A aviation mishaps” over the past six weeks. “This stand down is being taken to ensure the service is maintaining operational standardization of combat-ready aircraft with well-prepared pilots and crews,” the Marine Corps said in a news release. A man who sold a fatal dose of fentanyl-laced heroin to Michael K. Williams, the actor who rose to fame for his portrayal of a stickup man named Omar Little on the HBO series “The Wire,” was sentenced on Friday to 10 years in prison. But it was Mr. Cartagena who sold Mr. Williams the drugs that killed him on Sept. 5, 2021. Mr. Williams, 54, met the men in front of the apartment building that day and Mr. Cartagena handed him the drugs, prosecutors said. He returned to his own apartment nearby and was found dead the following day. Mr. Cartagena, 40, who is also known as “Green Eyes,” was first introduced to heroin when he was 13 years old and living in Puerto Rico, where he grew up, his lawyers said.

Apartment developers are building out private offices, conference rooms and even podcasting booths to capitalize on a lingering work-from-home trend. "A coworking space was actually the top of my list when I was touring," said Lauren Wells, a fashion designer and a resident at 420 Kent in Williamsburg. "When I need to meet with a customer for work, I can just bring up some of my work create a little space up there." Rent at each of the luxury rental buildings can run up to $7,950 per month for a one-bedroom apartment, while a studio for sale can cost nearly $1 million.
