HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Jimmy Garoppolo was ruled out of Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Chargers because of a concussion, making the Las Vegas Raiders' starting quarterback a mystery. Also, the Raiders announced that starting cornerback Nate Hobbs will not play because of an ankle injury, and running back Brandon Bolden didn't make the trip to Los Angeles because of personal reasons. Las Vegas coach Josh McDaniels was noncommittal when asked earlier in the week which quarterback he might go with against the Chargers. “I think everybody is going to get ready to go, and I think sometimes experience is a good thing,” McDaniels said. “It doesn’t mean that it’s going to determine how it’s going to go for one guy versus another.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Los Angeles Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson after he failed to appear for a court hearing on traffic charges in Massachusetts. Carr remained on the ground for a few minutes after getting hit hard on Rashan Gary's third down sack in the third quarter. They updated his status early in the fourth quarter by ruling him out for the game. Backup quarterback Jameis Winston entered the game on the Saints’ next series. Carr has gone 13 of 18 for 103 yards, including an 8-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Graham.

CNN —New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will miss the rest of the 2023 NFL season after suffering a complete tear of his left Achilles tendon, according to multiple sources. CNN —Tom Brady has shut down speculation and rumors of a potential return to football. While speaking to Sports Illustrated, the 45-year-old Brady said on Thursday he’s “certain” he will not play football again. Instead, Brady said he was looking forward to starting his role as a broadcaster for Fox Sports and the “opportunity ahead” with the Las Vegas Raiders. In May, Brady agreed to buy a minority ownership stake in the team. Brady also owns an ownership stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.
