Footage from a video game has been miscaptioned as saying it shows UFOs flying over Nevada. Other online posts use the clip to fuel a conspiracy called Project Blue Beam, which says the U.S. government falsifies UFO footage. Both claims are false, as the footage stems from Digital Combat Simulator (DCS), a free-to-play combat flight simulation game. Some shared the clip with the caption: “was project blue beam on your 2023 bingo card? The social media clip shows a simulation of UFOs in Nevada stemming from a video game.

Opinion: The Donald Trump and Hunter Biden surprises
  + stars: | 2023-07-30 | by ( Richard Galant | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +20 min
So it was remarkable Wednesday when the deal for Hunter Biden to plead guilty to two misdemeanors for his failure to pay taxes on time fell apart in a federal courtroom after the judge raised questions about it. Special counsel Jack Smith unexpectedly added a major allegation to the indictment charging former President Donald Trump with mishandling classified documents. The Trump and Hunter Biden developments underlined how America’s political climate is being shaped by what happens in the courts. This addition, an alleged surveillance tape conspiracy, almost reads like a spy novel.”“It features Trump employee and co-defendant Walt Nauta’s surprise clandestine trip to Florida. To W. James Antle III, it was the Hunter Biden plea deal snafu that brought to the forefront the “powerful split screen that drives” how Republican voters see the emerging 2024 presidential race.

Recent testimonies before Congress and meetings with NASA have renewed interest in UAPs and UFOs. There are differences between UAPs and UFOs, especially related to potential proof of alien life. Here's everything you need to know about UAPs and UFOs — including what they stand for. The transition from using UFO to UAP was to better encompass a variety of phenomena and strange sightings. Bettmann/Getty ImagesUAP vs. UFOUFO — which stands for "unidentified flying object" — was coined by the Air Force in 1952.

An ex-intelligence officer told Congress this week that the US has evidence of "non-human" life. The whistleblower previously made a shocking claim that the Vatican was part of a 90-year cover-up. The Department of Defense has denied that a top-secret program with evidence of alien life exists. Then, shockingly, Grusch said Pope Pius XII "backchanneled that" and the Vatican "told the Americans what the Italians had and we ended up scooping it." He told NewsNation that he's coming forward now because the American people have a right to know that they are being lied to.

WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) - The Senate in the coming days is expected to consider a bipartisan measure that would compel the U.S. government to publicly release records relating to possible UFO sightings after decades of stonewalling. Their 64-page proposal is modeled after a 1992 U.S. law spelling out the handling of records related to the 1963 assassination of President John Kennedy. "Our goal is to assure credibility with regard to any investigation or record keeping of materials" associated with UAPs, Rounds said. Under the measure, records must be publicly disclosed in full no later than 25 years after the law is enacted unless the U.S. president certifies that continued postponement is necessary because of a direct harm to national security. The Pentagon has investigated numerous unexplained sightings reported by military aviators and NASA formed a special panel to look into UAPs.

A short clip purporting to show a UFO hovering over a neighborhood originated from the account of a video creator, and is not genuine footage of a UFO. The video appears to show footage filmed from a sidewalk, with electric cables sparking overhead while an apparent flying saucer hovering over a column of smoke can be seen in the distance (here). While most comments indicated that users knew the clip was digitally created, others were misled into thinking the video was authentic. Let them have it..times up!”The earliest iteration of the video, however, was uploaded in February 2022 (here), (here) by a video creator, Alex Howard, whose account description includes “director and digital artist” and “building a dark, cinematic universe” (archive.is/EDtvC). The clip stems from a video creator’s social media accounts.

Retired NASA astronaut Scott Kelly spent over 8,100 consecutive hours in space. But his UFO experience actually happened on Earth while he was flying off Virginia Beach. But retired astronaut Scott Kelly is here to tell us that many UFO sightings are probably just our eyes playing tricks on us. Kelly was part of a panel that convened on Wednesday at NASA headquarters to discuss UFOs, what NASA now refers to as unidentified aerial phenomenon. Recalling the thousands of hours he spent in space, Kelly said on Wednesday, "Oftentimes, in space, I would see things and I was like, 'That's really not behaving like it should.'

On September 23, 2022, 12-year-old Esmeralda walked out of the girls' bathroom at her middle school in Tapachula, Mexico, and fainted. Mexican President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador began including regular updates on the government's investigation into the fainting episodes in his daily press conferences. Dr. Carlos Alberto Pantoja Meléndez, one of Mexico's few field epidemiologists, had taken an interest in the fainting episodes. News of the initial fainting episodes had been shared there, the epidemiologist, who asked to remain anonymous, told Pantoja-Melendez. Both believe that the fainting episodes in Mexico were examples of something new and alarming: mass hysteria spreading online.

NASA wants your help to identify UFOs and UAPs. NASA and federal officials said "imagery from smartphones is of limited value" to pin down UFOs. NASA's independent task force studying UAPs has been active since September 2022. NASA and the AARO said researchers need better, more reliable data to help categorize and identify what's behind strange sightings when they're reported in the sky. During the meeting, Kirkpatrick also said the AARO is researching how AI could help in studying, reporting, and identifying UFOs

WASHINGTON, May 31 (Reuters) - A NASA panel formed last year to study what the government calls "unidentified aerial phenomena," commonly termed UFOs, was due to hold its first public meeting on Wednesday, ahead of a report expected in coming weeks. The focus of Wednesday's four-hour public session "is to hold final deliberations before the agency's independent study team publishes a report this summer," NASA said in announcing the meeting. The panel represents the first such inquiry ever conducted under the auspices of the U.S. space agency for a subject the government once consigned to the exclusive and secretive purview of military and national security officials. The NASA study is separate from a newly formalized Pentagon-based investigation of unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs, documented in recent years by military aviators and analyzed by U.S. defense and intelligence officials. "There is no evidence UAPs are extraterrestrial in origin," NASA said in announcing the panel's formation last June.

The clip (here), (tinyurl.com/2p9tm9eu) was posted with the caption: “UFO appeared in a small town in Chile. The attraction seen in the clip is called Flying Island and is located in Gardaland Park, in Verona (here). The clip shows an amusement park attraction, not a UFO flying over Chile.

"If he's the Republican nominee, I will strongly support him in 2024," Thiel told podcast host Bari Weiss in an episode of the "Honestly" podcast on Wednesday. Robert Bigelow, a UFO-loving Las Vegas hotel mogul, vowed to "go without food" if that was necessary to fund DeSantis' 2024 run. Thiel did not elaborate in the podcast on whether he plans to give money to DeSantis in the 2024 election cycle.
While the source of the old photo is unclear, the scene shows the promotional prop on an Express-T truck and long predates the light phenomenon over Kyiv in April 2023. The UFO model has been repeatedly used as a promotional prop by a Kyiv-based haulage company, Express-T (www.instagram.com/express_t/). In an Instagram message, the company confirmed to Reuters that the image shows a promotional prop used at various events. Reuters also photographed the promotional prop in May 2021 (here). The photograph dates back to at least 2018 and shows a promotional prop used by a Kyiv-based haulage company.
