CNN —Italian authorities have issued an “extreme” health risk for 15 cities including Rome and Florence this weekend as a heatwave that is baking Europe threatens to bring record temperatures. The ESA warned that Europe’s heatwave has only just begun with Spain, France, Germany and Poland also expected to see extreme weather, just as the continent welcomes an influx of tourists. In the south, temperatures in the cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada have reached 40 degrees Celsius, or 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, even the normally mild region of Navarra in the north is seeing up to 40 degrees Celsius. Heat is one of the deadliest natural hazards – more than 61,000 people died in Europe’s searing summer heat wave last year.

Reuters reported on Wednesday that as part of the probe EU antitrust regulators were inspecting a facility of luxury goods company Gucci in Milan, one of the fashion capitals of the world. The inspection of the Gucci site was aimed at possible violations of the European Union's Article 101, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter. The article prohibits agreements that restrict, prevent or distort competition within the EU and which have an effect on trade between EU member states. Kering (PRTP.PA), the French-listed owner of Gucci, late on Wednesday confirmed the inspection, adding that it was cooperating fully with the European Commission investigation into the industry.

"I am being brutally evicted from a home which I have lovingly taken care of for the past 20 years," Princess Rita Jenrette Boncompagni Ludovisi said on Twitter shortly before leaving her home along with her four small dogs. Princess Boncompagni Ludovisi, 73, told Reuters in January that the tours were organised to raise money for maintenance.
