LOS ANGELES (AP) — A 69-year-old Jewish man died Monday after falling and striking his head following a confrontation the previous day during competing pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian demonstrations in suburban Los Angeles, authorities said. Paul Kessler's death was being investigated as a homicide and authorities haven't ruled out the possibility a hate crime occurred, said a statement from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. Kessler was injured shortly before 3:30 p.m. Sunday during competing demonstrations in Thousand Oaks, a city of about 125,000 northwest of Los Angeles. McVay said he hasn't decided whether Kendrick, who has started every game this season, will suit up when Los Angeles hosts Pittsburgh (3-2) on Sunday. THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — If Sean McVay's first child arrives on a Sunday this month, the Los Angeles Rams will have to take the field without him. McVay and his wife, Veronika, are expecting “in the next couple of weeks,” the head coach confirmed Friday. He has led the Rams to five winning seasons, four playoff berths, three NFC West titles, two Super Bowl appearances and the second Super Bowl title in franchise history. The Rams went 5-12 last year, posting the worst record by a defending Super Bowl champion in NFL history. Someone close to Spears called authorities “genuinely concerned about her wellbeing,” Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Captain Dean Worthy told CNN. The sergeant arrived at the Spears home, Worthy said, and was contacted over an entrance intercom by a member of Spears’ security team. The two companies now expect to close the acquisition – Amgen's largest ever – early in the fourth quarter of this year, a spokesperson for Amgen said.
