A man walking by inquired about the purpose of the shoot. “To get a person out of jail,” said Nicole Mull, a Legal Aid Society lawyer working with the filmmaker, David Simpson. Some are submitted as part of plea-bargain negotiations, in the hope of reducing a felony to a misdemeanor or to even get a case dismissed. Such videos tend to be employed by wealthier defendants in federal cases. The production quality and cost vary widely, but a high-end video can easily cost more than $10,000 — perhaps significantly more.

London CNN —When The National Portrait Gallery opened its doors to the public in London on Thursday, it was the first time in three years it has done so. The National Portrait Gallery was officially opened by Catherine, Princess of Wales, seen standing in front of Joshua Reynolds’ Portrait of Mai (Omai). Why would the National Portrait Gallery commit to taking this work they wouldn’t see until it’s finished, 90% of which is created by non-artists? What did she do?” Haworth told the National Portrait Gallery about the figure. Some art critics have been scathing of the gallery’s rework, with Jonathan Jones at the Guardian dubbing it “the same old cocktail party.” His review begins: “The National Portrait Gallery has been closed for three years.

Nicole Miranda made up to $400 a day speaking to men on the dating apps Meete and ToChat. She used to spend all her time on the apps, but now she markets them on TikTok for referrals. I was scrolling on TikTok one day when I came across a video of a girl talking about an app where guys pay to talk to you. Once I learned how to market the apps really well, I stopped hustling the guys for money because it was a lot of work and mentally exhausting. There are plenty of girls on the app still making thousands a month talking to guys, but for me, it's turned into an affiliate-marketing career.

Many people dream of owning a home, but financial planner Nicole Morong believes homeownership is overhyped. Morong encourages people to ask what their true motivations are behind buying a home. Homeownership represents stability, security, and financial success, even though many millennials feel like they'll never reach that milestone. “In 2022, a lot of Republican candidates took their D.C. consultants’ bad advice to ignore the subject,” she said in a speech. Nicole McCleskey, a Republican pollster who worked for the successful re-election campaign of Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa last year, pointed to Ms. Reynolds, Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia as examples of leaders who embraced tight abortion restrictions but were not defined by that issue alone. All three swept to comfortable victories in states that often lean right, but are not the nation’s most conservative states.

House lawmakers are still not agreed on who will lead them. The lack of a speaker of the House has some very real consequences. Alegre, who has served as operating chief at the videogame publisher since April 2020, will succeed Nicole Muniz as Yuga's CEO in the first half of 2023. CNN —As the hurricane season closes, a handful of blockbuster storms made history after an eerily quiet first half of the season gave false hope. In fact, we didn’t have any named storms from July 3 to August 31, the first time that’s occurred since 1941. One of those storms was Hurricane Ian, which hit land in late September and will go down as the most memorable storm of the 2022 season. “Tropical storms have formed in every month outside of hurricane season, and there have been a few hurricanes, too,” NOAA said. Historically, we’ve seen at least 15 named storms form in the month of December, even all the way up to December 30.
