Dunkin' is being sued in the US by 10 plaintiffs who are lactose intolerant and have milk allergies. The plaintiffs were charged extra for requesting non-dairy milk alternatives in its stores in the period since 2018. AdvertisementDunkin' is facing a $5 million class action lawsuit based on claims that it discriminates against customers with lactose intolerance and milk allergies by charging them extra for non-dairy milk alternatives. He also signed an executive order to ban gender-affirming surgery for minors but vetoed a bill that would ban all gender-affirming care for minors. The researchers found that people taking ADHD medications had a higher risk of hypertension and arterial disease, and the risk increased over time. Tirzepatide has shown greater levels of weight loss than semaglutide in clinical trials, leading many, including Nissen, to hope it will show even stronger cardiovascular benefits. Importantly, participants didn’t have a history of diabetes; a previous trial had shown that treating people with diabetes with a GLP-1 drug, Ozempic, reduced their cardiovascular risk. The Wegovy trial showed that 569 of 8,803 people taking the drug had a heart attack or stroke or died from heart-related causes, or 6.5%. Those million extra deaths exceed even the nearly 700,000 who die each year from cardiovascular disease, the country’s biggest killer. "This deal is closely aligned with our strategic focus on expanding from our core in diabetes into other serious chronic diseases, including through novel drug modalities," Novo said in a statement. The acquisition is expected to close before the end of this year, Novo said, adding that the deal will not impact its operating profit outlook for 2023. Ocedurenone is an orally administered drug that is currently examined in the phase 3 trial CLARION-CKD in patients with uncontrolled hypertension and advanced chronic kidney disease, Novo said.
