Jack Burke Jr., who was the oldest living Masters champion and staged the greatest comeback ever at Augusta National for one of his two majors, died Friday in Houston. Burke, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, also won the PGA Championship and was equally skilled as a teacher. He built the fabled Champions Golf Club in Houston and delivered lessons along with a dose of homespun wisdom. His passing was confirmed by Steve Timms, the CEO and president of the Houston Golf Association who spoke with Burke's wife, Robin. Burke was part of the original PGA Hall of Fame in Pinehurst and was among PGA champions not ushered into the new World Golf Hall of Fame when it opened in 1998 in Florida.

ATLANTA (AP) — Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons for their head coaching vacancy on Tuesday, his second interview in two days. The Falcons announced the interview with Harbaugh, who is exploring a return to the NFL after leading Michigan to the national championship. The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that Harbaugh had interviewed for their head coaching vacancy. Harbaugh is the second high-profile candidate to talk with the Falcons this week, following the team's interview with Bill Belichick on Monday. Before conducting the interviews with Belichick and Harbaugh, the Falcons held virtual interviews with five candidates, only one of whom has head coaching experience.

CNN —Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has told his teammates he is retiring from the NFL, according to multiple reports. ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo both reported the news Tuesday morning, following the Eagles’ 32-9 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. CNN Sport has reached out to the Eagles and Kelce’s agent for comment. Kelce, 36, spent his entire 13-season NFL career with the Eagles and won Super Bowl LII in February 2018.
