The United States has announced new export controls on advanced technology, including quantum computers, in line with restrictions imposed by international partners. Besides quantum computing items, the curbs will affect equipment for producing advanced semiconductors, additive manufacturing items to produce metal components and gate all-around field-effect transistor (GAAFET) technology, according to a Federal Register posting. LONDON — Britain's competition watchdog on Friday issued a statement of objections over Google's ad tech practices, which the regulator provisionally found are impacting competition in the U.K. In a statement, the Competition and Markets Authority alleged that the U.S. internet search titan "has harmed competition by using its dominance in online display advertising to favour its own ad tech services." The CMA further noted that Google disadvantages ad technology competitors, preventing them from competing on a "level playing field." "Many businesses are able to keep their digital content free or cheaper by using online advertising to generate revenue. The core of this case rests on flawed interpretations of the ad tech sector."

The company's active overseas clients rose by nearly 63% year on year to 3,244. Overseas assets under management rose nearly 15% to $5.4 billion from a year earlier, while mainland China assets under management fell over 6% to $15.8 billion, according to Noah's quarterly earnings report. "What we are hearing from them is that the fastest growth in terms of interest from Chinese clients [occurred] in the post-Covid [period to] early last year."

They found that registration for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders increased by 43%, from 550,682 to 787,982 voters. However, things changed in 2020 when Asian Americans had a significant double-digit increase in presidential election turnout.
