And rather than rely on large warehouses, it uses its stores as hubs, which helps it change delivery fulfillment quickly. A Utah woman who went viral and was dubbed a "Karen" after she allegedly pulled down a young woman's skirt that she found to be too short and revealing in public has entered into a plea deal on a misdemeanor sexual battery charge. Ida Lorenzo, 49, confronted a young woman on April 20 at a St. George, Utah, eatery in a spat partially caught on camera. In the video, posted April 21, she appears to brag that she works for the state as she admonished the young woman for her skirt. She told police that she confronted a young woman at a restaurant who was wearing “explicit clothing” that exposed her private parts with children present. The female victim said she was wearing underwear and shorts under her skirt, making it impossible to have been exposing herself.

Behind the scenes, the conservative justice sought to put a thumb on the scale for states trying to restrict how social media companies filter content. The states enacted their laws in 2021 and, with variations, restricted the ability of social media platforms to filter third-party messages, videos and other content. Greg Abbott signed that state’s measure, he said, “there is a dangerous movement by social media companies to silence conservative viewpoints and ideas.” In Florida, Gov. Kagan added a footnote to her majority opinion buttressing that point and reinforcing Barrett’s view. But, despite Alito’s protest, Kagan had a majority signing her decision, which, at minimum, offers lower court judges a strong indication of the framework the high court majority would use in future online challenges.

CNN —At least 30 people have been killed and over 100 injured in an Israeli airstrike on a school in Deir-al Balah, central Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. The United Nations estimated that about 150,000 people fled Khan Younis on Monday alone, intensifying pressure on meager supplies of food and water, and places to seek shelter. Israel launched its military offensive in Gaza on October 7 after Hamas attacked southern Israel. At least 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 others abducted, according to Israeli authorities. Mohammed Salem/ReutersIsraeli military action in Gaza has since killed 39,090 Palestinians and injured another 90,147, according to the Ministry of Health there.

It’s just a decisive move toward America First on foreign policy.”Trump’s selection of Vance is one of the clearest barometers of the former president’s tightening hold over the GOP. Those included Christian conservatives, the business community, congressional insiders and traditional Republican foreign policy hawks shaped by Ronald Reagan’s vision of the US as the muscular leader of the free world. Instead, with Vance, Trump chose an acolyte and potential successor who could deepen and extend the direction the former president has set for the party.
