CNN —A day after winning a sixth all-around title to become the most decorated gymnast in history, Simone Biles added to her extraordinary medal collection with a silver in the vault at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Saturday. Needing to regain her composure immediately for her second vault, Biles went on to score an impressive 14.666 for an average score of 14.549. Kaylia Nemour of Algeria won silver, while the USA’s Shilese Jones took bronze. On Friday, Biles surpassed Belarusian Vitaly Scherbo’s record of 33 overall medals across both the Olympics and the world championships with a record sixth all-around gold. Biles has now earned 28 career medals (21 gold, four silver, three bronze) at the world championships, which is an all-time record.

Rebeca Andrade of Brazil denied Biles a 22nd world title by winning the vault competition ahead of the American superstar. Biles' second vault was an excellent Cheng to finish with a combined score of 14.549. Andrade was nearly flawless to snatch the gold medal by a margin of 0.201 points. Asked whether she would try the Yurchenko double pike in competition, Andrade said it would be a “crazy” thing to do. The American superstar won the individual all-around title at the world championships for the sixth time on Friday to become the most decorated gymnast in history. Biles' only blip came right at the end, as she was about to wrap up her floor routine. Biles, Jones and Andrade competed in the same rotation, kicking off their contest at vault. The American team of Biles, Shilese Jones, Skye Blakely and Leanne Wong combined for a total of 167.729 points to edge Brazil and France. The U.S. women have won gold in the team event at every world championship that included a team competition since 2011. The American won the first of her five world all-around titles in 2013 at the age of 16 in Antwerp and has since become a household name after winning a record 25 worlds medals -- which includes a jaw-dropping 19 golds. Sept 12 (Reuters) - Belgian rider Nathan van Hooydonck was rushed to hospital after being involved in a car accident while driving on Tuesday, his Jumbo-Visma team confirmed. Van Hooydonck was severely injured in the crash and was in a critical condition, Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad said. "We can confirm that earlier today our rider Nathan van Hooydonck became unwell while driving his car, leading to his involvement in a traffic accident," a team statement said. "His pregnant wife who was sitting next to him was not injured but was also taken to hospital for a check-up." Van Hooydonck, who turned pro with BMC in 2017, has been with Dutch outfit Jumbo-Visma since 2021.

The shows were part of Blink-182’s “World Tour 2023/2024,” which started in April, and were slated for the beginning of this month. No additional information was made available about the nature of the family matter. Barker is married to Kourtney Kardashian, and the pair are currently expecting their first child together (Kardashian already has three children with her ex, Scott Disick).
