March 17 (Reuters) - Ratings agency Moody's on Friday downgraded the credit of First Republic Bank (FRC.N), citing deterioration in the bank's financial profile and challenges faced by the lender due to increased reliance on funding amid deposit outflows. The agency cut the bank's long-term issuer rating and local currency subordinate ratings to B2 from Baa1 and long-term local currency bank deposit rating to Baa3 from A1, among others. The outlook on the issuer rating and long-term bank deposits of First Republic Bank remain under review, Moody's said. "In addition, the rating agency noted that while the news of the banking consortium's deposits is positive in the short-run, the longer-run path for the bank back to sustained profitability remains uncertain." March 17 (Reuters) - S&P Global on Friday raised its sovereign rating on Saudi Arabia to "A/A-1", citing expected reform and diversification plans to boost development of the kingdom's non-oil sector and shift dependence away from oil. Rival ratings agency Moody's also said that Saudi Arabia's plans will support it amid volatile oil price cycles and a global transition to sustainable energy. Moody's changed its outlook on the kingdom to "positive" from "stable", and reaffirmed its "A1" rating. Saudi Arabia's reform plans complement its "longstanding position as the world's largest oil exporter, with spare installed capacity providing it the ability to adjust production swiftly when market conditions change, in the current environment of reasonably strong global energy prices," S&P said. The ratings agency, which previously had a "A-/A-2" rating on Saudi Arabia, forecast a slow rise in the kingdom's oil production through 2026.

Oct 31 (Reuters) - Australia's Nitro Software (NTO.AX) said on Monday it would back a near A$500 million ($320.15 million) offer from KKR Inc's (KKR.N) Alludo that trumps an earlier bid from major shareholder Potentia Capital Management. Shares of Nitro Software rose as much as 19.1% to A$2.06 in morning trade, the highest point since January. In a statement, Nitro said the Alludo offer was fully funded by "equity sources", without identifying the backers. Potentia has built a 19.8% stake in Nitro and declined to comment on the Alludo offer. Last week, ELMO Software (ELO.AX) agreed a $A500 million takeover from Los Angeles-based K1 Investment Management.

Hoții au vrut să jefuiască o mașină blindată de transport valori, scrie La Stampa, citează digi24.ro. Hoții înarmați au pus mai întâi cuie pe carosabil pentru a opri traficul și mașina blindată. O coloană de fum de pe autostradă a fost vizibilă de la câțiva kilometri distanță, porțiunea de autostradă a fost închisă în ambele direcții și traficul a fost deviat pentru a permite intervenția autorităților. Ceva a mers însă prost în planul atacatorilor și nu au reușit să jefuiască mașina de valori.
