On Wednesday, police in the town of Bulla in Australia’s Northern Territory shot the crocodile after deeming it a “significant risk to the community.”The animal was barbecued after it was shot by police. Numbers have boomed in the decades since, with the Northern Territory now home to some 100,000 crocodiles, according to the local government. In April, a 16-year-old boy was killed by a crocodile in northern Queensland while attempting to swim to shore after his boat broke down. The streaming giant has been reaching out to broadcasters this week in the hopes of finding a partner to produce the NFL games it will air on Christmas Day this year, according to people familiar with the matter. Netflix will show two games on Christmas Day this year, followed by at least one matchup in both 2025 and 2026, the company announced last month. Unlike WWE, Netflix's deal for Christmas NFL games doesn't come with a full production team. That's because Netflix could be auditioning as a future long-term media rights partner for NFL games in place of a legacy media company, such as Paramount, Fox or NBC. Representatives for Netflix, the NFL, NBCUniversal, CBS, ESPN and Fox declined to comment.

The world’s largest experiment in driverless cars is underway on the busy streets of Wuhan, a city in central China with 11 million people, 4.5 million cars, eight-lane expressways and towering bridges over the muddy waters of the Yangtze River. A fleet of 500 taxis navigated by computers, often with no safety drivers in them for backup, buzz around. The company that operates them, the tech giant Baidu, said last month that it would add a further 1,000 of the so-called robot taxis in Wuhan. Across China, 16 or more cities have allowed companies to test driverless vehicles on public roads, and at least 19 Chinese automakers and their suppliers are competing to establish global leadership in the field. In addition to cities designating on-road testing areas for robot taxis, censors are limiting online discussion of safety incidents and crashes to restrain public fears about the nascent technology.

Like so many speculative growth ETFs and stocks, the S & P SPDR Biotech (XBI) ETF is nowhere close to its former all-time high from early 2021. Even though the ETF now is up considerably from that point, many traders still have wanted nothing to do with it. We can understand why, especially when so many other stocks surpassed their respective former highs many months ago. The vertical blue lines depict when the 50-DMA crossing OVER the 200-DMA led to strong and extended upside follow through. It's been a challenging few years for XBI, but as these charts show, the blueprint for a continued comeback is there.
