CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday suggested that it is not just Big Tech that has the capacity to lead the market. Cramer highlighted Eli Lilly , a pharmaceutical giant whose stock hit a new high during Monday's session and is currently valued at about $870 billion. "These companies maintain their status through invention," Cramer said of huge names such as Amazon , Meta , Apple , Microsoft , Alphabet and Nvidia . The question is why other companies aren't doing the same things that Eli Lilly's doing to get in the winner's circle." Eli Lilly did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.

Investors who want to support the energy transition should consider backing natural gas as a fuel that can "make a really huge impact" by replacing coal, according to a top analyst at asset manager PGIM. "Natural gas is very complementary to them, it is highly dispatchable and it is very low cost." The U.S. is the largest natural gas exporter in the world, according to the Energy Information Administration. "Pipelines offer a very different kind of risk/reward proposition for an investor than, say, a natural gas producer who is very exposed to the volatility of the natural gas price," Antia said. "When it comes to LNG infrastructure, Cheniere is a company that provides the infrastructure necessary to liquefy as well as re-gasifying natural gas," Antia said.

In a Thursday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, AeroVironment CEO Wahid Nawabi described how the defense contractor's drones are used in battle, saying the technology will be a significant part of modern warfare. "The fundamental shift in warfare is that distributed intelligent robotic systems, loitering munitions, small drones — that's what we specialize in — is going to be a much bigger piece of the warfare in the future," he said. Nawabi discussed weapons including the Switchblade 600 — a kamikaze-type drone — and the Puma AE, which is primarily used for surveillance. The former is unique because it is able to "loiter" for 40 minutes to find a target, he said. According to Nawabi, the U.S. Army plans to buy more than a thousand Switchblade 600s as part of the Pentagon's latest initiative.

Concerns about inflation and interest rates are now at a two-year high, according to a recent report by credit reporting agency TransUnion. Although Americans have seen their buying power rise amid cooling inflationary data and a strong job market, 84% of all adults still rank inflation among their top concerns, followed by housing prices and interest rates, TransUnion's consumer pulse study found. "There continues to be positive progress against bringing down inflation," said Charlie Wise, senior vice president and head of global research and consulting at TransUnion. Millennials may not be there yet on pants, or at least that's what I, as a millennial, tell myself. The internet is fueling the millennials vs. Gen Z discourse, but underlying it is something deeper: millennials raging against the dying of the light. "It's really beneficial for brands that at least the online discourse has millennials looking to Gen Z for trends. The nature of internet culture, much of which was created by millennials, puts a unique bent on the discourse and how creators and influencers address millennials. Pay transparency laws are on the rise nationwide, but so is the share of companies that use the ambiguous phrase "competitive salary" to describe what they'll pay. As of May, the phrase appeared in 3% of U.S. job postings on Indeed, up from 2.5% of postings at the same time last year, the employment website told CNBC Make It. It's a small but notable increase that reflects thousands of job posts with unclear pay ranges, according to Indeed. "But without further details in the job posting, the phrase puts the onus on the job seeker to know what a competitive pay range may look like." If you're applying to jobs without clear pay ranges, here are a few ways to discuss salary during the hiring process.

After the S&P 500 knocked three stocks from its ranks last week, CNBC's Jim Cramer told investors why it is usually not a good idea to stick with these companies. "When you see a stock that gets expelled from the S&P 500, please don't bother to try to catch a bottom — you're most likely catching a falling knife," he said. The S&P 500 evaluates the performance of roughly 500 of the largest publicly traded stocks and is seen as a bellwether for the market. He also reviewed several other recent S&P 500 castoffs and found that most of those stocks have also underperformed. Although buying an index fund is usually considered passive investing, Cramer said the S&P 500 is more actively managed than many realize.
