According to consensus forecasts at least, U.S. headline inflation is expected to have retreated sharply again in October back toward midyear lows around 3.3%. But underlying 'core' inflation is expected to stay stickier at an unchanged annual rate of 4.1% last month and still more than twice the Fed's target. But the Fed may want to hang tough long enough into a slowing economy to ensure that inflation is squeezed back to its 2% goal. KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — For Sat PMs—Former President Donald Trump is expanding his support in Florida as he seeks to bury the presidential ambitions of Gov. Ron DeSantis in their shared home state. DeSantis is still a powerful governor who enacted policies long sought by conservatives and moved a traditional swing state increasingly to the right. Scott, Fine and four U.S. House members who already declared support for Trump are also scheduled to speak. Trump has refused to take a similar pledge required for candidates to participate in national GOP debates.

A Starz spokesperson declined to comment on the number of cuts but confirmed the authenticity of the letter to staff. Lionsgate and Starz have been part of the same company since December 2016, when Lionsgate acquired Starz for $4.4 billion. That marriage will end in the first quarter, when the company plans to spin Lionsgate as a separately traded company. Starz announced last quarter it planned to exit Latin America to focus on the U.S., U.K. and Canada. Starz ended last quarter with about 12 million domestic streaming subscribers and about 20 million total customers when including those who sign up through traditional pay TV.
