Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., plans to file a resolution in the House on Thursday that would express support for the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution, which sets the term limits for the president. However, he could introduce it as a privileged resolution to force Republicans to vote on the matter. The resolution, which NBC News obtained Wednesday, reaffirms that the 22nd Amendment "applies to two terms in the aggregate as President of the United States" and reaffirms that it "applies to President-elect Trump." The resolution lists a number of instances in which Trump has joked or floated the idea of serving longer than two terms in the White House or being a dictator. To amend the Constitution and modify term limits for president, both the House and the Senate would need to approve amendment language by two-thirds votes.

The U.S. is one of few developed nations without federal laws that provide workers paid time off, and just over a dozen states have their own laws to offer paid sick leave. But last week, Americans in more states – Alaska, Missouri and Nebraska – voted to pass new ballot measures that will bring paid sick leave requirements to their workplaces in 2025. Prior to the November election, 15 states and Washington, D.C., had their own paid sick leave laws, as do a number of cities and localities across the country. MarylandWorkers at businesses with 15 or more employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Rhode IslandFull-time workers at businesses with 18 or more employees get up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year.

"That's why we're looking at areas that are cheap — small caps trading at that big discount. Malik views small caps as one of the most attractive areas amid a broad rally that's boosted the major indexes and valuations to new highs. "Deregulation is going to make the world an interesting place, because it could open up more M & A activity, which, again, positive for small caps trading at that deep discount to their counterparts," Malik said.
