But one Danish company is on a mission to put the art in golf cart. “When it came to the golf cart 18 years ago, they all looked the same – there weren’t any serious high-end products out there,” Lynge told CNN. You want something that’s sort of Lamborghini-shaped – very low and wide – but the golf cart is the exact opposite.”Tiger Woods rides a conventional golf cart at a tournament in 2005. Lynge took the prize ceremony event as an opportunity to pitch a dream that would be realized in 2016 – a Garia golf car inspired by Mercedes-Benz Style. “Really expensive … super exclusive, but also the coolest golf car you’ll ever see,” Lynge said.

Last summer, thousands of tie-dyed Burners and Patagonia-clad tech founders converged on the MAPS Psychedelic Science conference in Denver. The experience "broke the spell of this trauma, and she was able to rebuild her life," Doblin told The Guardian . The video team's job was to store recordings of every MDMA therapy session performed in the clinical trials. Grof believes in something called an "inner healing intelligence," an innate capacity for self-healing that psychedelic therapy helps unleash. Another time, a patient who had come to an MDMA therapy session later acknowledged they had been under the influence of LSD during treatment.

Barcelona, Spain — Spain’s Socialists won the biggest share of the vote in Sunday’s Catalan elections, dealing a serious blow to more than a decade of separatist governance and the independence dreams still nursed by some in the wealthy northeastern region. Spain’s largest opposition party, the conservative People’s Party, also had a good night, seeing the biggest increase since the last vote in 2021 from three seats to 15 on Sunday. Socialist candidate Salvador Illa makes a toast with members of his team and party colleagues after the announcement of the results of the elections. Emilio Morenatti/APSpeaking as the voting count concluded, Illa hailed a “new era” for the region. Illa’s Socialists will also need to forge an agreement - most likely with the ERC - but separatist parties until now have rejected any suggestion of helping the national ruling party govern in Catalonia.

A pro-unity rally marches through Barcelona, Spain, on October 8, 2017, in response to last Sunday's disputed referendum on Catalan independence. This was the first time the Socialists led a Catalan election in both votes and seats won. Illa led Spain's response to the COVID-19 pandemic before Sánchez sent him back to Barcelona to lead his party. The Socialists are already in a coalition government in Madrid with the Sumar party, which now has six seats in the Catalan parliament. Separatists have held the regional government in Barcelona since 2012 and had won majorities in four consecutive regional elections.

CNN —Manchester United won the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in its history on Sunday, dismantling Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in front of a sell-out crowd at a sun-soaked Wembley Stadium. “We are history makers for Manchester United,” the club’s manager Marc Skinner told the BBC. It seemed that the half would end goalless, that is until Toone created a little magic in its final moments. Rachel Williams, on the ground, was mobbed by her teammates after scoring United's second goal. García still had time for a second goal, rifling the ball into the net after Lisa Naalsund had controlled Melvine Malard’s chip into the box, and added some extra gloss to the scoreline.

Getting a traditional Mother's Day gift means I am still doing chores that day. But when it comes to celebrating Mother's Day, there's just one thing I want, and it's not a bath bomb, candle, or picture frame. For Mother's Day, I really just want time by myself away from my girls. Mother's Day is about showing appreciation for everything moms do, but it's also a day meant for reflecting on motherhood. Having time away for Mother's Day would remind me that despite the endless chores and messes and tears, being a mom really is the best.

It's also important to remember that lower-income Americans were feeling financial pressures before the pandemic, said Tyler Schipper, an associate professor of economics at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. CNN —Bayer Leverkusen’s remarkable season took another extraordinary turn on Thursday as a late 2-2 draw against AS Roma stretched the club’s unbeaten run to 49 games. The 4-2 aggregate victory saw Leverkusen reach a first European final in 22 years, while Josip Stanišić’s 97th-minute strike ensured that the recently-crowned German champion remains undefeated this season. It means that Leverkusen has now surpassed Portuguese team Benfica’s record from 1963-65 for the longest unbeaten run across all top-level matches since the introduction of European competitions, according to UEFA. “It says a lot about the team, the conviction that we have and it’s great to finally reach the final. While I dread these altercations, I think some passengers need to chill out — people have the right to recline their seat. So, you’d think that 150 lighter seats per flight will certainly save an airline a ton of money. A lighter seat that doesn’t recline is also a seat that is less likely to break, which saves an airline money in repairs. But after 28 years in the job, I’ve found there’s some basic reclining etiquette that makes for a smoother flight for everyone. But on coach, middle seat passengers struggle to type because there’s no arm space.

César Luis Menotti, the charismatic coach who in 1978 led Argentina to its first World Cup title, achieving that milestone in the country’s capital, Buenos Aires, has died. The Argentine Football Association announced the death on Sunday but did not give a cause or specify where or when he died. He reportedly underwent surgery for phlebitis in April and then returned home. Passion for soccer and a sharp ability to explain its mechanics were Menotti’s hallmark characteristics as a trainer. France’s president, Emmanuel Macron, promised to build the Summer Olympics safely, free of the construction hazards and migrant worker abuses that tarnished soccer’s 2022 World Cup in Qatar. “We are living up to the commitments we made,” Mr. Macron said in February. Government data shows fewer than 200 injuries at Olympics sites over a four-year construction blitz. But inspection records and other documents show that Olympics sites have been more dangerous than organizers have let on, with some projects failing to meet basic safety standards. When undocumented immigrants are hurt on the job, workers and officials say, the injuries are often handled off the books, all but guaranteeing that they will not show up in government statistics.

Luis Rubiales, Spain’s former soccer chief, will stand trial on a count of sexual assault for grabbing the head of Jennifer Hermoso, a star player, and forcibly kissing her on the mouth at the Women’s World Cup medal ceremony in August. The decision on Wednesday evening by Spain’s National Court came after a judge concluded in January that Mr. Rubiales should be held to account for the kiss, which the judge said “was nonconsensual” and within the bounds of the “intimacy of sexual relations.”Public prosecutors and Ms. Hermoso’s lawyers are seeking a total of two and a half years of prison time for Mr. Rubiales: one year for the sexual assault charge and an additional 18 months in connection with a coercion charge. Mr. Rubiales is accused of pressuring Ms. Hermoso to show support for him after the kiss. Three other former soccer officials, including Jorge Vilda, the former women’s team’s coach, are also accused of coercion. They could each face 18 months in prison.
