CNBC's Jim Cramer said investors should understand Wall Street jargon, including terms like correction, rotation and execution. Cramer said a correction can occur when the market, or just an individual stock, has been roaring, but then suddenly sees a steep decline. Lastly, Cramer explained the term execution, which refers to a company's ability to follow through with its plans. Cramer recommended paying up for what he calls "best of breed" stocks, or companies with leadership that have proven their abilities. "Don't be afraid of rotations and corrections; don't be intimidated by people who use the words," he said.

Jonathan Danty was held up and Arendse dived over for South Africa after collecting a fortunate bounce from a speculative kick. With barely time to breathe, South Africa regained control when Kolbe outpaced Damian Penaud with astonishing ease to collect Jesse Kriel's kick and score. Jerusalem-based nonprofit United Hatzalah, which provides emergency medical services, said its website was struck by distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks that temporarily slowed its ability to receive donations. DDoS is a low-level and typically unsophisticated attack designed to overwhelm a website with artificial traffic, often causing it to crash. The disruptions to the United Hatzalah website did not lead to loss of data or donations, said Jeremy Cole, a spokesperson for the group. Another website impersonating United Hatzalah that had sprung up in the last few days seeking donations had been taken down, Cole said.

The market recovery from last week's lows could be an indication that a market bottom is in place, according to Fundstrat Global Advisors. "While some might see this as 'jumping the gun,' I do feel like there's a good likelihood that Equity market lows could be in place after the constructive bounce in recent days," wrote Mark Newton, the firm's head of technical strategy. Newton pointed to several reasons for this, including: Strong tech returns relative to the S & P 500 . Bank of America's Stephen Suttmeier also noted that the fourth quarter is usually a good one for the S & P 500, increasing the likelihood of the broader market index doing well going forward. The IMF said it expects global economic growth to slow to 2.9% in 2024 from an expected 3% this year. “The global economy is limping along, not sprinting," IMF chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas said at a news conference during the organization's annual meeting in Marrakech, Morocco. If sustained, a 10% increase in oil prices would reduce global economic growth by 0.15% and increase global inflation by 0.4%, Gourinchas said.
