Kendra Panteah, 37, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of kidnapping not resulting in death in federal court in Albuquerque, according to court records. Another man, Gilbert John Jr., fatally stabbed the victim, the prosecutor's office said. Panteah said the two other people got out as she drove to Gallup with the man still locked in the trunk, according to the plea agreement. According to a proposed class action filed Monday in federal court in Brooklyn, Subway ads for its Steak & Cheese sandwich show layers of meat piled high, reaching about as high as the surrounding hero bread. In reality, according to several photos in the complaint, the fast-food chain’s sandwiches are far more bread than filling. As Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts attempted to catch a foul ball in the first inning of Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday, two Yankees fans tried to rip the ball out of his glove. The bizarre 'only-in-New York' moment took place in the bottom of the first when Gleyber Torres led off the inning with a pop fly to right field. Follow along for live coverage of Game 4After Betts nabbed the ball, one Yankees fan in an away Aaron Judge jersey wouldn't let go of Betts' left hand until he pried it loose. The effort was all for nothing as the umpire ruled Torres out from fan interference and the two men were escorted out by stadium security. This marks the second time this series Torres has been on the wrong end of a fan interference call.

An Alabama man was sentenced Tuesday to one year and nine months in prison for threatening a sheriff and a district attorney in Georgia over the jail mug shot of former President Donald Trump, prosecutors said. Hanson also threatened District Attorney Fani Willis, saying that if Trump was indicted, "anytime you’re alone, be looking over your shoulder." Hanson made the threats in two voicemails left for Labat and Willis on Aug. 6, 2023, before Trump was indicted or his mug shot was taken. A Fulton County grand jury indicted Trump and 18 other people last year on state charges related to efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia, an election that Trump lost. Trump was indicted on Aug. 14, 2023, and 10 days later, he surrendered to the Fulton County Jail and his mug shot was released publicly.

Shares of Reddit popped more than 40% on Wednesday, one day after the social media company posted a surprise profit in its third-quarter results and offered rosy guidance. Reddit said fourth-quarter revenue will be between $385 million and $400 million, above the average analyst estimate of $357.9 million. "It was another strong quarter for Reddit and our communities as we achieved important milestones, including new levels of user traffic, revenue growth, and profitability," Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said in a press release. They said they're encouraged by Reddit's strong revenue growth, improved profitability and growing daily active unique users.
